Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 428

She didn’t want to see Ariana and her gentle aunt end up estranged because of her biological sister.

It was just a pity that she had been too swamped with studies before and couldn’t help Ariana and her aunt clear up their misunderstandings.

But now things were different. After starting university, she suddenly felt much freer and more relaxed. She had plenty of time on her hands.

And what perfect timing—Ariana was about to have her second child. She saw this as a golden opportunity to reconcile Ariana and her aunt. She figured the reason Aunt treated her so well must be because she missed Ariana dearly. So she wanted to help mend their relationship.

Unfortunately, Kiara had misread the situation entirely.

Georgia’s affection for Kiara had never been because Ariana was absent, forcing her to project her longing onto Kiara as a substitute.

She genuinely adored Kiara…

Or rather, she adored the eyes that so resembled Kiara’s father’s.

So after hearing Kiara’s words, Georgia simply smiled gently and said, “The Stone family will arrange for professionals to take care of Ariana during her postpartum recovery. They have experienced nutritionists and maternity nurses—far more qualified than I am. I’d only be in the way. It’s better if I don’t go.” She paused, then added warmly, “But you—now that you’ve finally gotten into university and have more free time, you should come home more often. It gets lonely here by myself.”

As if struck by a sudden thought, she reached out and tucked a loose strand of hair behind Kiara’s ear, her voice softening further. “You look more and more like your father these days.”

Kiara didn’t grasp the deeper meaning behind Georgia’s words.

She assumed her aunt was merely reflecting on how much she had grown, and how her parents in heaven could now rest in peace. Tears welled up in her eyes as she whispered, “Dad and Mom would be so grateful to you and Uncle. If it weren’t for you both, I wouldn’t be who I am today. It’s just… my sister, Jane… I’m so sorry for what she did.”

Even now, Kiara couldn’t hold her head high because of Jane.

No one blamed her—but she blamed herself.

The fact that such betrayal came from her own elder sister weighed heavily on her heart. Because of this, she went out of her way to be even kinder to her uncle, aunt, and Ariana. Though she had chosen to major in finance, she harbored no ulterior motives—she simply wanted to use her knowledge to repay those who loved her. That was all.

But what she didn’t notice was the fleeting coldness in Georgia’s eyes when she mentioned the word "Mom."

It lasted only an instant, invisible to anyone.

Even Kiara, standing closest to her, failed to catch that subtle shift in expression.

After a tense three-hour wait, the operating room doors finally swung open. By then, the entire Stone family had gathered. Old Mr. Stone, whose health had been poor lately and whose complexion looked rather sallow, stared anxiously at the doctor, his fingers trembling slightly as he asked, "How is it? Are they healthy?"

What he really wanted to ask was whether the babies were boys, but since the family already had Lucian, the gender didn’t matter as much.

Though earlier tests had confirmed twins—both boys—twins were unpredictable.

There was always a chance they might be girls, so the old couple hadn’t gotten their hopes up too high. After all, the Stone family already had two great-grandsons in this generation. The doctor, however, answered cheerfully, "Congratulations, Chairman. They’re both boys."

In an instant—

The old man’s eyes lit up with overwhelming joy. He clapped his hands together, his kindly smile practically overflowing with delight.

Even the old lady was overjoyed.

The second branch of the Stone family was also present.
