Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 477

Gilbert called Lambert for one reason only—to persuade Ariana to visit her mother if possible.

He knew Ariana harbored resentment toward Georgia, but after all, she was her birth mother.

So he hoped Ariana would come to see her.

As for why he didn’t call Ariana directly, it was because Gilbert simply didn’t know what to say to her. With his son-in-law, however, he could be more straightforward.

Lambert naturally couldn’t refuse.

He gave a quiet hum of acknowledgment.

Relieved by Lambert’s agreement, Gilbert set his phone aside and sighed softly as he gazed at Georgia lying in the hospital bed. The doctor had said Georgia’s condition wasn’t serious—she had simply fainted from emotional distress. With proper rest and care, she would recover just fine.

Gilbert understood that Georgia’s troubles stemmed from her worries, and he couldn’t help but feel a pang of helplessness.

About half an hour later, Georgia gradually regained consciousness.

Her eyes fluttered open, dazed at first, before she blinked away the lingering haze. Raising a trembling hand, she shielded her face from the harsh light that stung her newly awakened vision. Then, her gaze still unfocused, she turned slightly toward Gilbert beside her. Her lips parted, and a hoarse whisper escaped.

"Where... am I?"

Gilbert answered gently, "You fainted earlier. We’re at the hospital now."

Georgia froze for a moment.

Squinting slightly, she took a few seconds to piece together what had happened.

She had been on the phone with Kiara. Kiara hadn’t returned home in a long time, and the growing unease in Georgia’s heart had driven her to call. Kiara had been polite and cheerful at first, but when the topic of coming home arose, she fell silent. After a pause, she simply said she was too busy with schoolwork and wouldn’t be back for a while.

Georgia’s anger had surged, and she demanded, 'Why?'

After all, Kiara had always been such an obedient and sensible girl before.

How could she have become so rebellious now? So Georgia wondered if it was because of Ariana—had Ariana said something to her? She even mentioned that Ariana had already agreed not to inherit the White family business, telling Kiara not to overthink it. If she were really bothered, Georgia would talk to Ariana again. But who would’ve thought Kiara would explode in anger right then?

She firmly declared, without a shred of hesitation, that she had absolutely no interest in inheriting the White family business.

And if Georgia kept pushing her, she would only get married in the future—no way would she allow a husband to take her family name.

Kiara had made up her mind long ago.

No matter what, she wouldn’t inherit the White family. If they forced her, she would go back on her promise to her uncle and aunt about accepting a matrilocal marriage. Even if it broke their hearts, she couldn’t care less. And those words successfully enraged Georgia.

Lately, Georgia’s emotions had already been unstable, and with her high blood pressure acting up, the heated phone call left her dizzy.

On top of that, she had already thoroughly offended Ariana.

But now Kiara refused to inherit the family business—what was she supposed to do in the future? The more she dwelt on it, the deeper her anxiety grew.

In the end, she passed out.
