Chapter 60
“Rhett, you can’t sign this! They’re trying to screw you over for peanuts. What do they think you are?
The woman clung to Rhett’s arm, pouting and acting all flirty.
Here she came, the third party Emily had been waiting for.
Emily sized her up.
Sexy, sure, but all Emily saw was tacky.
She had a strong air of cheapness about her.
Violette stared blankly at the woman who had suddenly appeared and was now clinging to Rhett so intimately,
“You, you two… Rhett, who is she? Have you been cheating on me all along? You jerk, how could you do this to me!”
Violette had thought his gambling addiction was the reason for his behavior.
At least they had once shared genuine, beautiful memories.
Now, discovering Rhett had betrayed her long ago made her insistence on being with him the biggest joke of all.
Rhett hadn’t even opened his mouth.
ZAY
The woman couldn’t hold back, giving Violette a disdainful once–over. “You must be Rhett’s wife. No wonder he didn’t want you here. Look at yourself, so ugly. How could you compare to me? Right, Rhett?”
“Yes, yes, baby, you’re finally here. Did your brother come with you?” Rhett asked eagerly, wrapping his arm around the woman’s waist.
“Of course he did. Don’t worry, he’s outside talking to Dean. With my brother involved, Dean will have to show some respect.”
The woman playfully tapped Rhett’s nose.
Rhett immediately kissed her, completely ignoring everyone else.
“You’re so capable. Why are you stopping me from signing?” he asked, puzzled.
The woman snuggled closer to him. “Are you stupid? Five hundred and fifty thousand dollars for the son you’ve raised for twenty years? It should be at least a million thousand!”
Rhett nodded. “You’re right, Mira Collins. I’ve worked hard all these years. It’s not enough.”
He looked up at Emily, “You heard her. At least a hundred thousand dollars, or I won’t sign.”
“Don’t even think about it! Have you ever taken care of the family? Did you raise the child? You bastard!” Violette was about to rush forward and hit him.

Chapter 60
Emily held her back.
Violette needed to vent, but now wasn’t the time.
Emily responded, “Fine!”
Her quick agreement surprised Rhett. He eyed her suspiciously. “Agreeing so easily? What’s your angle?”
Emily’s voice was cold. “Stop wasting time. Sign it!”
She pushed the documents forward.
*No way, give us the money first!” Mira stopped Rhett’s hand from signing.
“Account number!” Emily took out her phone to transfer the money, reminding them, “Sign it. Once I transfer the money, hand over the signed documents.”
Mira finally let go.
After all, they could always refuse to give Emily the documents later.
And with her brother outside, Emily wouldn’t dare try anything.
Soon, the documents were signed.
Emily received the signed agreement and proof of disownment.
With the papers in hand, her expression turned icy.
The temperature in the room seemed to drop several degrees.
“Violette, now you can vent and hit him!” Emily said to Violette.
Violette hesitated, then rushed at Rhett in a frenzy.
“Stop it, you lunatic!” Mira tried to intervene.
Emily stepped forward, lightly gripping Mira’s hand, rendering her immobile and terrified.
As for Rhett, his children, Atticus and Sofia, who had learned of his infidelity, were furious with him.
They each grabbed one of Rhett’s arms, allowing Violette to hit him.
Rhett couldn’t even curse before Violette slapped him hard.
Then came a flurry of punches.
Fallon wanted to help.

Chapter 60
Emily’s eyes flashed. Tallon, you’d better behave. Haven’t you noticed Mira can’t move? You’re old. Don’t make me get rough
Fallon, the most selfish of them all, was indeed old and didn’t dare step forward, fearing injury.
But…
“Mira’s brother, get in here! Mira’s going to be beaten to death!
Fallon knew how to call for help.
Mira snapped out of her fear and shouted towards the door, “Uriah, help me!”
People outside heard the commotion and rushed in.
Violette paused her assault.
Emily smiled. “Violette, are you done? If not, keep going. Ignore everyone else!”
She spoke calmly, her gaze sharp as she looked at the people entering.
On one side was Dean and his entourage, on the other, Uriah leading five followers.
Emily’s gaze turned cold as she looked at Dean. “Dean, what are you doing? You just called me a friend. Are you turning against me now?”
Dean thought for a moment and looked at Uriah. “Uriah, maybe we should let it go. We’re all friends here. She knows Alfonso.”
“Dean, you’ve been fooled!” Mira shrieked. “She used to be a nobody, barely able to eat. Her family found her, but she’s an unloved daughter. How could she know someone like Alfonso?”
Uriah laughed. “I’ve looked into her. No background. Her family has money, but no one likes her.”
Mira had asked him to investigate Emily, so he felt confident.
Dean’s face darkened.
He realized Emily had tricked him, embarrassing him in front of his followers.
He sneered. “Emily, you heard them. Now that your cover’s blown, don’t blame me for being harsh. Either come with me quietly, or face the consequences.”
“Why waste time talking? Teach her a lesson. She’ll behave once she’s in pain!” Uriah’s eyes gleamed as he looked at Emily.
Without waiting for Dean, he signaled his men to move.
