No one knew if Daniel would get angry. After all, the rumors said he was ruthless and merciless.

Emily’s phone rang. She glanced at the caller ID and quickly answered.

Daniel’s smooth voice came through the phone.

It was easy for him to find out what was happening, so Emily wasn’t surprised by his question.

She remembered he said he’d wait for her at the entrance. He might already be outside. Feeling a bit guilty, Emily replied, “Sorry, I’ll be out in a minute.”

After hanging up, Emily didn’t spare Bianca another glance. She quickly greeted Wren and hurried out.

Bianca frowned. Who was Emily in such a rush to meet?

Could it be the man behind her success in becoming a judge this time? He must be an older man. If she could catch Emily meeting this old man, she could use it to her advantage later.

With this thought, Bianca hurriedly chased after her.

In her haste, she almost collided with James.

James rubbed his chest where he was hit and steadied Bianca, who was about to fall. “Bianca, what’s wrong?”

Bianca regained her balance and quickly said, “Nothing. I just saw Emily leaving in a hurry and was worried something might be wrong. I wanted to catch up and check. James, let go of me.”

She was so anxious that she didn’t give James a chance to react, pushing him aside and rushing out.

But because of this delay, by the time Bianca got outside, she saw the car door closing.

She caught a glimpse of Emily’s profile, the corner of a suit, and a prominent nose, but couldn’t see Daniel’s handsome face clearly.

Frustrated, Bianca stomped her foot, and she couldn’t help but blame James in her heart.

If he hadn’t stopped her, she might have caught Emily in an embarrassing situation with the old man.

“How is that possible?‘

James had followed her out.

He saw the back of the departing Maybach and instinctively took a couple of steps forward, mumbling to himself.

“What do you mean? Is there anything wrong? James, do you recognize the car owner? Could Emily really be hooking up with some old man just to make me look bad? That’s so foolish!”

Bianca looked disappointed.

James shook his head. “I don’t recognize it. I must have been mistaken.”

He wouldn’t admit that Emily had gotten into Daniel’s car.

She was just a woman who picked up trash. Even if Floyd had managed to get her in front of Daniel, someone like Daniel wouldn’t give her special treatment, let alone drive her away.

Bianca felt a bit regretful.

Since she couldn’t catch up with Emily, she’d have to find another opportunity. She remembered another important matter.

Chase had called her again, asking if she had contacted the highly skilled doctor. Clearly, he didn’t trust her lie from before.

“James, let’s not worry about Emily for now. How much longer do we have to wait for that doctor? Should we ask Mr. Watson for the address and go there early?”

Bianca felt uneasy and couldn’t help but suggest.

James felt he had already lowered himself enough for this doctor, who still acted high and mighty.

Now she wanted him to wait even longer. He was unwilling, and his tone showed his frustration. “Bianca, I think you shouldn’t have lied about that. Even if you had to lie at the time, Chase is your brother. He spoils you. If you tell him the truth now, he should understand.”

Daniel nodded. “Let’s go. It’s on the way. I have no plans today, so I’ll wait for you, and we can go back together.”

Emily felt a bit embarrassed and wanted to refuse, but Daniel walked to the café across the street without waiting for her response.
