How could it be you? Where’s the doctor? Are you pretending to be the doctor? Emily, I used to think you just didn’t like me, but now I see you’ve learned to impersonate others. Stop messing around and tell me, where’s the doctor?” Bianca snapped, her voice urgent.
James’s face darkened as well. “Emily, don’t push it. My patience has limits. Tell me, where did you send the doctor?‘
Emily chuckled softly. “Is it possible that I am the amazing doctor you’re talking about?”
Bianca laughed as if she’d heard the funniest joke. “Emily, having dreams is good, but delusions are not. I’m not mocking you, but this is clearly impossible. Don’t lie just to impress James!”
“James, even though I usually defend Emily, I think she needs a serious lesson this time. You can’t just pretend to be a doctor. What if the real doctor finds out?” Bianca’s righteous tone was unmistakable, though she was clearly up to no good. She always had her own twisted logic.
James’s frown deepened. “Emily, do you realize what you’ve done? Where did you find out about this amazing doctor? Did you get this information from Mr. Watson?” Mentioning this, his frown grew tighter, finding the idea absurd. How could someone like Joe trust Emily so easily?
“Did you bribe Mr. Watson to play along with your act? I…” Bianca quickly covered her mouth, as if she had hit the nail on the head but
shouldn’t have said it out loud.
Emily wasn’t surprised or angry at their attempts to belittle her. But Bianca had no right to drag Joe into this.
Before Emily could respond, James actually believed Bianca’s insinuations. He grabbed Emily’s arm, his face full of disappointment.
“Emily, how could you be so shameless? Even when you were scavenging, you never sold yourself out. Look at what you’ve become!” His words were harsh, as if he had already judged her guilty.
Emily rolled her eyes, exasperated. She shook off James’s hand forcefully.
“Are you an idiot? If you want to verify my identity, it shouldn’t be hard since you’re in charge of this competition!”
“And when did you become so arrogant? Mr. Watson’s reputation is not something you can tarnish. Do you think someone with his ethics and character would fake something like this?”
Bianca quickly jumped in, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “Maybe Mr. Watson did it as a favor for Mr. Smith or Floyd. Emily, if you have such means, I have to admire you.”
Emily almost laughed at Bianca’s malicious speculation. She stood up, her presence commanding despite being shorter than James.
“So, you agree with Bianca? If so, you’re an idiot. Do you really think I could get Mr. Smith, Floyd, and Mr. Watson to play along just to embarrass Bianca? You’re giving yourself too much credit!” Emily’s words were sharp and to the point. James knew the weight of these names. Bianca was excellent, but not enough to justify the time these people wasted.
James’s thoughts wavered, and his gaze towards Emily began to change. Bianca noticed James’s shift in attitude and felt a pang of worry.
Emily’s presence here already confirmed her identity as the amazing doctor. But Bianca couldn’t accept it. How had Emily become such a skilled doctor right under her nose?

Chapter 99
Even if Emily was impressive, Bianca could still sway James’s opinion.
Bianca quickly changed her tone, smiling. Emily, if what you say is true, that’s wonderful. Could you treat Aurora? A doctor’s duty is to save lives. You wouldn’t refuse, right? Especially with your skills?”
She was trying to put Emily on a moral high ground.
Emily wasn’t buying it. “Sure, I’ll help. But since you’re so moral, agree to my condition, and I’ll treat her for free. How about that?”
Bianca didn’t expect Emily to be so clever, turning the tables on her. She nearly ground her teeth in frustration.
“Emily, what are you saying? If you agree to treat Aurora, I’d even be willing to die. But I believe you’re not the type to force someone, right?”

Bianca’s quick response seemed to agree, but set a trap. If Emily made an unreasonable demand, she’d appear heartless.
James frowned slightly. “Emily, you can make a request, and I’ll try to fulfill it. Even if it means not breaking off the engagement. Just stop targeting Bianca.”
Emily couldn’t help but clap sarcastically, making James’s expression stiffen.
“What a devoted man, not standing up for me at all. Do you think I’d be interested in someone like that?” Emily looked at James with disdain.
Then she turned to Bianca. “My condition is simple. Admit all the bad things you’ve done to frame me over the years, and I’ll treat Aurora.”
Bianca’s eyes turned cold but quickly returned to normal. In the next second, tears welled up in her eyes.
“Emily, are you doing all this just to falsely accuse me? If you go back to being the obedient girl who listened to James, I’ll admit to everything.”
“Emily, those things are in the past. Bianca hasn’t held them against you. Why can’t you let go and stop making unreasonable demands?” James disapproved.
Emily sneered. “It’s easy for you to say when you’re not the one suffering. James, you never truly believed in me.”
“I thought Bianca had some feelings for Chase and would help out of love. But it seems I was wrong.”
Emily directly asked them to leave.
‘I, I admit…”
Bianca bit her lip, looking like she was making a difficult decision, about to agree.
But before she could finish, her breathing became rapid, her face pale, and she swayed as if about to faint.
“Bianca, are you okay?”
James quickly supported Bianca, who leaned into his arms, pretending to faint.
