Chapter 182: Was he ignoring her?

Dressed in a long satin nightgown, Ella skipped down the stairs with a laptop in her hand.

"You guys are here..." Ella paused when she noticed a persistent gaze on her, "Why are you looking at me like that, Penny?"

Penny smiled, "Miss Yu, you look so pretty."

Ella touched her face instinctively before she smiled brightly, "Thanks for the compliment.’’ She didn’t get that a lot.

"Girls..." Ella sat on the throne chair and turned the laptop in their direction.

And apart from Shishi, the calmest and most professional one of them, the rest gasped.

"It’s live! It’s live!" For some reason, Rin felt a little emotional. A few months ago, she was still helping Esther get information against Ella.

Just thinking about it made her squirm uncomfortably. But today, she helped Ella in such a huge task and her chest swelled.

At a little distance, Bertha wiped her tears as she watched her young daughter seated between the other four ladies, talking about work.

She glanced at Ella, her eyes filling with gratefulness.

"The responses..." A soft mumble came from Penny who was looking at the laptop closely, "...they are huge. The views are rocketing!"

"Miss Yu, the website has been ready for a while now but you held back on releasing it until today..." June looked at her.

The other three also turned to Ella.

"I was getting hated everywhere so I thought I should make some money out of it hehehe~"

After discussing the future plans, Ella arranged for a driver to drop June and Penny at their places.

After she returned to her room, she did her skincare, pulled out her notepad and jotted down about a few ingredients which had become a part of her routine lately.

That night, Ella wandered out of her room around midnight but the lights in the study were off and the master bedroom was closed as well.

She stood in the hallway a few seconds longer, before eventually returning to her room in silence.

In the next two days, the stocks in the ’Elle’ had almost been emptied. Most of the items were sold in a flash.

As the products were popular and rare, the fashion fanatics brought it like crazy, with some of them reaching out to the official mail to ask if there were more specific items in stock.

On the third day, Ella watched the money in her account grow up to millions overnight and plopped on the bed like a satisfied koi fish.

"Miss Yu, E-Esther has been texting me constantly again," Rin informed the girl who was lying on the bed with a wide grin on her face.

Ella paused, "Ignore her."

"I ignored her the past few days as you wanted but... but she is threatening..." Rin’s knuckles turned white around her phone. Ella said nothing at first, just took the device with a slow inhale.

Ella took Rin’s phone from her.

Esther’s last message read: [Rin, you can’t really be dreaming of turning over a new leaf by ignoring me. If you don’t respond to me, don’t blame me for what might happen to you or your mother in the future."

Ella looked at Rin who was trying to appear calm but the anxiety on her face was palpable.

In the past few months, the girl had grown more mature and composed. But at the end of the day, she was just a girl in her late teenage years.

Ella approached her and stroked her head.

Rin froze.

Ella looked at her, "I have involved you in this. But don’t worry, this facade will soon be over."
