Expel her from Global Harmony Medical Institute?
Anastasia’s eyes turned icy in an instant.
She glanced around the room. One by one, everyone else raised their hands without much hesitation, making it clear they’d already discussed this before she arrived.
A cold smile flickered across her lips as she strode inside, radiating a frosty confidence. “Expel me from Global Harmony Medical Institute? My, Mr. Evert and Ms. Brennan, you certainly throw your weight around, don’t you?”
She let out a short, biting laugh. “I used to think Global Harmony was fair and just, but who knew? Looks like here, if the deputy director and his favorite student decide they don’t like someone, they can twist the rules and abuse their power—just to settle a personal grudge. Truly eye-opening!”
Her words—“abuse of power, personal vendetta”—made both Mr. Evert and Lauren’s faces darken. Mr. Evert slammed his hand on the table, voice thundering. “Sharp tongue, aren’t you? Today you’ll have no choice but to accept the truth! Lauren, tell her—let her know exactly why she doesn’t belong at Global Harmony.”
Lauren stood, clearly prepared for this moment, and tossed a thick stack of papers onto the table in front of Anastasia.
“These,” she announced, “are complaints and reports we’ve received in the past few days. All of them are about you, Anastasia!”
Anastasia’s expression didn’t flicker. “Oh?”
“You still don’t get it? Take a look for yourself,” Lauren snapped. “See how much doubt and criticism you’ve brought down on this institution—on all of us—because of your actions!”
Anastasia barely glanced at the printed complaints and accusations. Every single letter questioned the legitimacy of her achievements.
