Alone among them, Anastasia remained perfectly calm, even letting a small smile touch her lips.
"Resign? Let them," she said, her eyes glinting with a cool light.
The directors stared at her in shock. "Miss Sterling!"
"You've just arrived, you don't understand the situation," Ms. Evelyn said urgently. "Regan's people hold key positions. If they all leave at once, the company will collapse!"
"So, what's the alternative?" Anastasia countered. "Give in to their demands and let Regan stay?"
The directors fell silent.
"Let them resign," Anastasia instructed the assistant directly. "And send out a company-wide memo. Anyone else who wants to leave can do so now. They might as well go together."
The assistant looked from Anastasia to Mr. Lynn. Seeing no objection from the director, he nodded and hurried off.
"Miss Sterling, do you have a plan?" Mr. Lynn asked suddenly, his gaze calm and steady. Unlike Ms. Evelyn, he wasn't panicking. Anastasia's composure was too absolute to be dismissed. Though young, he didn't believe she was acting recklessly. She must have a contingency.
Anastasia offered a faint smile and raised an eyebrow. "What plan do I need? If they want to go, let them. We'll just hire new people. As long as we have money, is there really a shortage of talent?"
"But the company can't function with so many people gone at once…"
"Don't worry about that," Anastasia said dismissively. "I'll handle it."
