Revenge Wears My Ring novel Chapter 92

Standing at the bedside, still holding a tablet in her hands, Desiree spun around at the sudden sound—

Desiree?!

Julian’s anger and barely contained mania froze instantly, as if someone had hit pause on his entire being.

The icy mask on his face shattered, replaced by utter shock and disbelief.

Desiree?

The jarring realization hit him so forcefully it knocked the wind out of his tightly wound nerves.

Had he really just imagined the whole thing?

So Gwyneth wasn’t here with his brother after all. What had gotten into him?

He should have known—there’s no way Gwyneth would fall for someone else.

Of course his brother’s girlfriend was Desiree.

Bennett’s gaze slid calmly over Julian standing at the door, then to Queenie and Winston behind him, both craning their necks inside, their faces equally confused and uncertain.

His expression didn’t flicker—he looked at them as if they were nothing more than a few stray insects that had wandered in.

“Something you need?” Bennett finally spoke, his voice low and steady, betraying no emotion. The simple question hung in the air with a quiet authority, landing right on Julian like an invisible weight.

He didn’t bother to ask, “What are you doing here?”—just, “Something you need?” As if their very presence was an intrusion needing justification.

That calm rebuke stung Julian far more than any shouting ever could.

Queenie recovered instantly. Seeing Julian at a loss for words, she stepped forward with a gentle, concerned smile, her voice soft and sweet as honey. “Bennett, please don’t misunderstand. Julian’s just been worried sick about you ever since he heard you were in the hospital! As soon as he finished up his work, he dragged me and Mr. Fletcher over to check on you. Isn’t that right, Julian?” As she spoke, she nudged Julian discreetly with her elbow and shot him a meaningful look.
