This woman was outrageous.
Where did she get the nerve?
“You... You’re unbelievable. No wonder Celine’s always miserable at home—you bully her all the time, you—”
“Shana.” A gentle voice interrupted Shana’s angry tirade.
Here we go.
Sabrina took a careful step back, just in time.
Celine arrived, flanked by Uliana, Elena, and Marshall.
“Marshall!”
“Hector!”
Marshall and Hector exchanged greetings.
Celine started to ask Shana what was going on, but with a single look from Hector, the bodyguard at his side stepped forward and escorted Shana away. Shana barely managed a glance, not daring to say another word.
She understood perfectly—Hector didn’t want anyone knowing about her argument with Sabrina.
Celine had never liked Shana much, but since their families were related, she’d always kept up appearances. Now, watching Shana get ushered out, she felt a wave of relief. The last thing she wanted was Shana ruining her date with Marshall.
“Sabrina, you’re here too,” Celine said, her voice soft and sweet.
“What, you’re allowed to come but I’m not?” Sabrina shot back.
Celine immediately tried to explain herself, looking flustered and apologetic. “Sabrina, please don’t be upset—I didn’t mean it that way, I just—”
“That’s enough. Celine’s just being polite. What’s with your attitude?” Marshall snapped, unable to stand seeing his goddess spoken to like that.
Right in front of everyone, Sabrina refused to give Celine even a shred of respect. Anyone could imagine how much worse she must be at home, how she must dominate and push Celine around.
The more Marshall thought about it, the angrier he got. He wanted to tear off the mask Sabrina wore.
