She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 276

The land in Goldcrest District was still under development.

Worried Bryce might act on impulse, Sabrina thought it over.

“Relax, I have a plan to deal with him. Just don’t mess it up for me.”

Bryce fell silent, feeling a little slighted. Was she brushing him off?

Sabrina noticed him standing there motionless and called out, “Come on, let’s go to Waverly Wharf.”

Since there were people waiting for them at Waverly Wharf, it meant their targets were still there.

These were dangerous people. If she didn’t get rid of them now, they’d be trouble for her again.

Forty minutes later.

Waverly Wharf.

The night was deep and the sky scattered with stars.

The harbor was quiet, the salty wind howling in from the sea.

Boats of all shapes and sizes bobbed at the docks. Most belonged to fishermen making their living offshore, but some were used for less legitimate business.

Waverly Wharf was loosely managed; shady deals happened here all the time. The police could only increase their patrols.

But on a sweltering summer night, the sea breeze was the best comfort you could ask for.

Around a small boat, a dozen men lingered, glancing around as if waiting for something.

One of them couldn’t hold back a complaint. “Did something go wrong? It’s nearly eleven and we haven’t seen a soul!”

“How should I know?” another grumbled. “Next time, I’m checking every detail before I agree to anything. Not every job is worth taking.”

A man dug a cigarette out of his pocket, and one of the younger guys hurried over to light it for him.

He took a deep drag, as if it could chase away his irritation.
