She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 41

In the underground cell, the air was thick with the scent of damp stone and stale fear.

A bodyguard in a black suit stepped forward, offering Samuel a phone with deference. Samuel’s gaze flicked to the screen, reading the brief message. He raised his right hand in a casual gesture. “Bring me Holly.”

“Yes, sir.” The men behind him nodded and swiftly disappeared down the corridor.

Samuel glanced down at the man crumpled on the floor. He took a slow drag from his cigar, exhaling a plume of smoke that drifted toward the vaulted ceiling. His movements were lazy, unhurried—no sign at all that he’d just finished a savage fight.

Moments earlier, he’d personally beaten Brett within an inch of his life.

Ten years. He’d waited a decade for this moment. At last, he could take his revenge.

He wanted nothing more than to tear Brett apart, to spill his blood in memory of his wife and daughter.

A group of bodyguards hoisted Brett’s battered frame from the ground. The man was barely conscious, his body bruised and bloodied, not a patch of unbroken skin left. Yet the scar carved along his upper thigh was unmistakable, clear as day—a mark that had haunted Samuel for years.

“Lock him up with the dogs,” Samuel ordered coldly, his voice echoing off the stone walls.

He meant the half-dead man should be thrown in with a pack of starving guard dogs, left to fate. Samuel had considered killing Brett himself, but decided that would be too merciful. His wife and daughter had suffered far more than this. He’d never claimed to be a good man; justice for monsters was best served cruel.

Last night, he’d received a video and a set of photos from Sabrina. He’d moved instantly—Brett was dragged back here before sunrise. The photos showed the same distinctive scar, confirming Brett’s identity. He was the man Samuel had hunted for ten long years.

After Brett’s capture, Samuel had beaten him mercilessly. His hatred was too deep to end things quickly. All through the night, Samuel interrogated him, determined to unearth every accomplice. At first, Brett refused to give up any names—he thought his partner was a last shield, a secret he could die with. Nothing Samuel tried would break him.

Just as Samuel was about to resort to the most brutal methods, Sabrina called. She claimed she could track down the other men who escaped justice, but she needed Samuel’s resources—and in return, she wanted Holly.

Half an hour later, a scandalous video began to circulate on Brett’s Instagram. At first, hardly anyone recognized the man with the scar; those who did were shocked into silence.
