She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 88

The girls, in particular, were terrified—faces drained of color, shrieking at the top of their lungs.

“Oh my God, it’s a mouse!”

“Jesus, I’m going to die! It’s coming right for me!”

“Somebody help! Please, somebody do something!”

The classroom was filled with hysterical screams, chaos echoing from every corner.

In the midst of this panic, Sabrina alone remained perfectly calm, her expression as blank and composed as ever. She showed no hint of fear.

Mice were the last thing in the world that could scare her.

Back when she’d been homeless, she had lost count of the nights she’d spent sleeping side by side with rats. Curled up in damp, shadowy corners, she’d become accustomed to their company, their tiny bodies scurrying all around—never once had she felt afraid.

People were far scarier than any mouse.

The classroom was in total disarray.

One of the boys flung the door open, hoping the rodents would flee, but the mice seemed terrified of the hallway’s harsh light. Instead of escaping, they darted frantically around the room, refusing to leave.

“Sabrina, it wasn’t us! Corey did it, I swear!” one of the girls shouted.

Soon, more voices joined in, all blaming Corey for releasing the mice.

Corey, desperate for Ayla’s attention—even though she couldn’t care less about him—had clearly staged this stunt for her sake. Revenge for his unrequited crush.

He glared daggers at the girl who’d outed him.

“What are you looking at me for? Did you even think about the consequences? Now we’re all in trouble!” she snapped, still shaking.

With everyone’s eyes on him, Corey reluctantly grabbed an empty cage and loaded it with treats to lure the mice in.

Less than two minutes later, the mice were safely trapped.

Sabrina strode over, kicking aside an overturned desk. All eyes were on her as she walked up to Corey—and, without warning, landed a solid kick to his shin.

He yelped, completely caught off guard.
