Everyone in the room was stunned—most people had no idea what had just happened.
Up on the fourth floor, at a window-side table, Celine and Uliana sat with a few friends, all watching the drama unfold below.
Downstairs, Sabrina was facing off with a group of tall guys. Something was clearly wrong between them; the tension was obvious. Two of the guys had leftover food splattered across their shirts—no doubt, Sabrina had just dumped her lunch tray over their heads.
Celine’s heart leapt into her throat. She found herself silently rooting for the guys to just go for it. Hit her, knock her down, teach that witch a lesson. She didn’t care how—just as long as Sabrina ended up crawling instead of walking, crushed and humiliated.
Uliana and the others couldn’t tear their eyes away from the commotion below. For Uliana, the scene was all too familiar—she was still nursing a grudge from the last time Sabrina had dumped food on her, and she wanted payback.
“Come on, hit her! Don’t hold back!” Uliana balled her fists, quietly cheering the boys on from above.
The guys, stunned at first, finally realized who had attacked them. Sabrina didn’t just look good—she was drop-dead gorgeous, almost unreal. But that didn’t matter. They were men. No way were they going to let some girl get away with this, beautiful or not. No way were they going to look weak.
The ringleader spat out a curse. “You little brat, you’re dead meat!”
He swung at her, but Sabrina caught his wrist in midair, blocking him with ease, and shoved him back with surprising strength.
Her icy glare cut through them like a knife. “You’re all so noisy. If you want to fight, take it outside. Don’t ruin my meal.”
What?
The crowd gasped again. Was she really beating them up because they were disturbing her lunch? Did she honestly expect the whole place to clear out just so she could enjoy her food in peace?
One of the guys, still furious, snapped, “You can’t just go around hitting people!”
Another leaned in, voice lowered, “She’s Sabrina. From Celine’s class.”
