Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 451

Chapter 451

Carter added, “Besides, we got her studio and her composition.”

The smile on Kelly’s face froze.

There was a hint of guilt in Carter’s words-guilt toward Sharon.

And once he began to feel indebted to Sharon, the balance in his heart would inevitably tip in Sharon’s favor. Carter wasn’t completely unaware that what he was doing was wrong. He knew. And yet, he did it anyway. With Kelly’s final concert having failed to launch, everything else had to make way for her.

If Carter ever found out her illness was a lie…everything she currently possessed would be stripped away.

No. She couldn’t allow that to happen.

At that thought, a cold glint flashed through Kelly’s eyes.

A few days later, Sharon received a call from Kelly.

“Sharon, I spoke with Maestro Warner about helping arrange a performance for you. But… he doesn’t have the best impression of you, so he refused.”

She paused for a beat before continuing.

“Still, since I already promised you, I’ll see it through. I’ve asked Carter and Nate for help, and they’ve agreed to sponsor a concert. Would you be interested?”

Sharon didn’t hesitate. “Sure, I’d love to.”

Kelly’s voice paused briefly. “Great. We’re doing a promotional shoot tomorrow. If you’re interested, feel free to stop by.”

“Alright. Please send me the address, Kelly.”

After hanging up, a chill settled in Kelly’s eyes. She had already made things perfectly clear, and yet Sharon still insisted on staying close to her.

Clearly, it wasn’t about the performance. It was about Carter.

Lately, she and Nate had been humiliated by Sharon more than once.

And though Carter had always stepped in on her behalf, it was clear he was beginning to show favoritism toward Sharon.

Otherwise, given that Sharon had once stabbed him, how could she possibly still be standing before them, unscathed?

A knock came at the door. Nate walked in, scowling.

“Kelly, those so-called upperclassmen of yours are impossible to deal with. I even mentioned you’re Maestro Warner’s protégé, but they still acted all high and mighty!

“Honestly, forget about bringing them in as special guests-just call on other students of Maestro Warner. They’re way more famous anyway.”

Kelly snapped back to her senses. “Maestro Warner’s students are indeed among the top in the industry, but the music world doesn’t revolve around just his students.

“Bell University’s Hall of Fame features several alumni whose achievements surpass even those of Warner’s protégés. If I can

invite them as guest performers, my concert will be truly perfect.”

Nate frowned. “But no matter what terms I offered, they all said they were unavailable. Honestly, those foreign women are harder to deal with than Maestro Warner himself.”

Kelly thought for a moment, then said, “Maybe they think we’re not sincere enough. Here’s what you can do: track their whereabouts for me. If I have to, I’ll fly to Marcentine myself.”

If she could win over Maestro Warner, she refused to believe she couldn’t win over her upperclassmen from Bell University.

Meanwhile, at Amstern City Airport, three young and beautiful women rushed forward and threw their arms around Sharon.

“Sharon! We missed you so much!”
