Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 776

Chapter 776

The smear campaign against Sharon refused to die down.

Skeptics raised questions online: [If Sharon is really that extraordinary, why didn’t Maestro Warner take her as a student? Why did he choose Kelly as his last student instead?]

Wendy snapped back without courtesy: [Because at Sharon’s level, she no longer needs to be anyone’s student.]

Meanwhile, Wendy collected every rumor-mongering post about Sharon and issued lawyer’s letters one after another. Those who

received them rushed to apologize publicly, admitting they were only paid to spread lies. Some even confessed outright that every

piece of “dirt” on Sharon was fabricated.

“I just couldn’t stand seeing her do well, so I slandered her online.”

The backlash reached its peak.

Unable to bear the weight of public fury, Abigail withdrew from the competition. Soon after, her close friend Noelle was also

exposed for orchestrating malicious rumors against Sharon and faced a lawsuit.

The so-called “insiders” who once flooded the forums vanished without a trace.

Watching Sharon turn the tables with such ease made Kelly grind her teeth until they nearly cracked.

“That useless Abigail! I handed her so much dirt on Sharon, and she still couldn’t bring her down. Not only did Sharon stay in the

competition unscathed, she even came out of it more admired than before! Now, even with my title as Warner’s last student, my

influence is no match for Sharon’s.”

At Maestro Warner’s residence, an old foreign woman-about his age and a longtime friend-visited him.

“Warner, we’ve been friends for years, so I won’t waste words. I came this time mainly to meet your last student. I heard she’s a

violin prodigy and tremendously gifted. You know the international music competition is coming up. I want to see if my own

disappointing students have any chance of beating her. If not, we won’t waste energy on the violin category; we’ll focus our efforts

on piano instead.”

Warner gave a faint smile. “No problem. I’ll call her over shortly.”

The woman quickly waved her hands. “No, no, that’s unnecessary. I can just go see her myself. Sharon must be swamped right

now-preparing for both her concert and the competition. Better not waste her time. By the way, could you get me a few tickets to her concert? My students camped online for days but couldn’t grab any. As her teacher, surely you can manage that, right?”

Warner’s smile froze. “Sharon?”

“Of course. Isn’t Sharon your student?” The woman studied his face, realization dawning. “Don’t tell me, Warner… your last

student isn’t Sharon?”

Warner pressed his lips together, saying nothing.

His silence said everything.

The woman’s expression turned incredulous. “You can’t be serious. If it’s not Sharon, then who is it?”

After a long pause, Warner finally answered, “Kelly.”

“Kelly…” The woman’s gaze shifted, her tone laced with disappointment. “I’ve seen her perform. My students may not be

outstanding, but defeating her wouldn’t be difficult.”

Warner remained silent.

The woman sighed, crestfallen. “So Sharon isn’t your student after all. Seems I came here for nothing. Fine, then… I’ll find

another way to meet her myself.”

Before leaving, she turned back and added with quiet reproach, “Warner, such a rare talent, and you didn’t take her under your

wing. Your judgment… isn’t as sharp as it once was. Perhaps it’s dulled with time.”
