Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 839

Chapter 839

Rick wasn’t shameless enough to push that far. Still, if Sharon stepped into the company with the backing of the company veterans… things could shift.

His thoughts were cut short by Sharon’s voice.

“That won’t be necessary. Since I’m returning to the Kalen family, I will be part of the Kalen family. I’ll shoulder the risks that come with it.”

Rick hadn’t expected her to be so obstinate.

“Sharon, I’m doing this for your sake. And we’re not taking your shares for free. It’s an equal exchange. There’s no difference between original shares and common shares.”

Sharon’s lips curved into a light smile.

“If there’s truly no difference, then why insist on making the change? If you dislike holding original shares, I could always purchase them from you myself.”

Her words stunned him into a disbelieving laugh.

“You? Buy out my shares? With what?”

But Sharon didn’t flare up at his mockery. Her tone remained calm.

“Rick, don’t worry. Even between siblings, accounts must be clear. I’ll never owe you. I’ll give you money for your shares.”

Rick opened his mouth to retort, then faltered. A sharp thought struck him-if he truly wanted to sell, perhaps she could afford to buy.

She had many backers. Xavier. Uriah. Soon, John would return to the Westin family. And then there was Carter, who lived in constant guilt toward her…

Her network was no longer negligible.

For the first time, Rick realized the sister standing before him was no longer the timid, helpless girl who had first entered the Kalen household years ago.

At that moment, Richard broke in with genial laughter, smoothing over the tension.

“All right, enough. We’ll discuss the details another time. For now, it’s enough that Sharon is willing to come home.”

He seemed not to care about the original shares at all, intent only on his daughter’s return.
