Chapter 102
Josephine flipped through the department staff’s resumes to assign personnel.
“Michael will be the leader of Team One, with Lainey Sullivan, Zane Foster…”
“On my side: Theodore, Nora, Elowen…”
Josephine closed the staff list and looked up to see several people staring down at their phones.
They were pursing their lips, occasionally glancing at her.
“What is it? Do you have a problem with me?”
“If you have an issue, say it to my face.”
Josephine’s voice was not loud, and she was still smiling, but her authority was unmistakable.
Everyone put their phones down.
After the meeting, Josephine told everyone to take a short break.
She still needed to hold a separate meeting for the second team.
But Theodore was nowhere to be found, so she sent Elowen to look for him.
Elowen came running back: “Ms. Copeland, Theodore had a conflict with the front desk and smashed her phone.”
Josephine immediately got up to see what was going on.
Theodore’s gaze was cold and stern as he stared at the receptionist and said:
“You should be glad you’re a woman. Otherwise, you’d be lying in a hospital right now.”
Many eyes were on the receptionist. She knew she was in the wrong, but couldn’t back down, and snapped angrily:
“It’s not like I edited the video maliciously… Even Ms. Copeland’s own daughter said Ms. Copeland checked into a hotel with a man…”

Someone called out, Ms. Copeland.
The receptionist bit her tongue.
Josephine stood with her hands half in her pants pockets, Nora and Elowen flanking her on either side.
She wasn’t angry, but her presence was so strong it seemed to change the temperature of the
room.
The receptionist looked like she might start trembling.
Josephine lifted the corners of her lips, her voice calm and clear.
“Since everyone is here, let me say a few words.”
“My private affairs are not for public discussion.”
“Theodore is a man; he doesn’t hit women. But when I hit women, I don’t hold back.”
Josephine looked at the receptionist, her gaze suddenly turning cold.
“Pack your things and get out of EternalCore Fab.”
“Theodore, come in for the meeting.”
Before the meeting, Josephine thanked Theodore in front of the entire second team.
Theodore gave a cool nod in response.
Josephine returned to her serious demeanor.
“Please turn off your phones. Today’s meeting is confidential.”
“I’ll have the engineering department move my equipment and yours into the studio on the production line.”
“We are going to develop Al chips.”

After the meeting, Josephine noticed that half of the office building was empty.
It was only after asking around that she found out Mr. Keller had been here.

Usually a smiling old man, he had shown thunderous resolve, firing all employees who had spread the video or spoken ill of others behind their backs.
He even posted an announcement on the Thalassa Group’s official website.
“Employee XX has seriously violated Article 1.01, Section b of the Employee Handbook.
Effective immediately, the company is terminating their employment and will never rehire them.‘
“1
The Thalassa Group’s official website was a focal point even for national media.
Posting an employee’s badge and photo along with their dismissal was tantamount to a permanent industry ban.
The remaining employees were so frightened they wished they could sew a zipper onto their lips.
Is Ms. Copeland Mr. Keller’s own daughter?
No, maybe she’s Mr. Keller’s ancestor?
You can’t even say a word about it–speaking is a crime too…
After hearing the whole story, Josephine guessed that it was probably Owen who had instructed Mr. Keller to do this.
After all, it was impossible that Owen would rush to the police station to protect every Thalassa Group executive who got into trouble.
She couldn’t help but recall the gossip Finn had told her before.
“The head of Thalassa Group has fallen in love with the wife of a Novo Tech executive…”
