It was like a thread of light, suddenly bursting into her heart.
“Ms. Copeland, please sign for these.”
The property manager handed Josephine a pen with both hands.
After signing her name, Josephine thanked the property manager.
Then she carried everything into her home, one by one.
The once empty entryway cabinet was suddenly lively and full.
Josephine picked up her phone and took a few photos.
Then she found Zachery’s number and dialed.
As she waited for the call to connect, her heartbeat unexpectedly quickened, as if she were waiting for an important opening line.
A calm, gentle male voice came through the phone, full of laughter.
“Happy Valentine’s Day.”
Josephine’s fingertips twitched as she held the phone. Looking at the row of bouquets in the entryway, she broke into a smile.
“Dr. Maynard, happy Valentine’s Day.”
The next day was the weekend, and Finn asked Josephine to go with him to order a car.
The person in charge said that she and Theodore couldn’t be the only ones rewarded; every employee in both teams would get something.
She and Theodore could choose what they wanted, but everyone else would receive a BMW.
Thalassa Group truly lived up to its reputation–wealthy and generous, spending tens of millions without a second thought.
Josephine called each employee one by one, asking what color BMW they wanted.

Chapter 155
After collecting the information, she and Finn went to the dealership to look at cars and place orders, spending the whole day on it.
It wasn’t until the evening that she had time to visit Natalia at the hospital.
The weather was unbearably hot and stuffy.
Carrying the loungewear she bought for Natalia, she entered the emergency building and happened to run into Wilfred coming out.
They looked at each other from two meters apart.
There was still a faint smell of last night’s alcohol on the man. His expression was calm, but under the lights, a trace of hostility flickered in his eyes, betraying his unsettled mind.
Josephine’s gaze was neither warm nor cold, utterly devoid of emotion.
“Mr. Hayden, have you sobered up?”
The feelings from last night were gone from Wilfred’s eyes. He stubbornly replied, “When was I ever drunk?”
After speaking, he walked around Josephine, resuming his usual air of nobility.
Josephine glanced back at Wilfred’s straight–backed figure.
She slightly regretted not having taken a picture of his embarrassing drunken state yesterday…
Passing by Belinda’s hospital room, Josephine paused to listen.
She couldn’t make out what Belinda was saying to Helena, but Belinda wasn’t coughing or wheezing. Her voice was loud and clear, and she sounded perfectly healthy.
Relieved, Josephine continued on toward the innermost ward.
It was as if Zachery had known she would come; he was waiting for her at Natalia’s door.
But now, meeting Zachery again, she didn’t know why, things suddenly felt a bit awkward.
Her awkwardness made Zachery seem reserved as well.
“These two sets of clothes are brand new and haven’t been washed yet. You might need to wash them before letting Natalia wear them.”

“Okay, I’ll wash them in a bit. Have you eaten?”
“Yes, I have.”
“Then, do you want some water?”
“No, I’m not thirsty.”
Zachery nodded.
“Then, do you want some fruit? An apple or a banana?”
“I’ll have some grapes.”
Zachery nodded, but when he went to wash the fruit, he realized there were no grapes. “I’ll go out and buy some.”
Josephine quickly said, “No need, I’ll just have a banana.”
Zachery peeled half a banana and handed it to her.
She took it and took a bite, only to find Zachery still watching her.
Feeling a bit nervous, she blurted out a topic, “Thank you for the gift yesterday.”
