Sensing the warm wall of his body so close behind her, she didn’t dare turn around.

She looked up and watched as Zachery’s large, well–defined hand took the teddy bear. She turned around, not expecting Zachery to still be standing right behind her.

As she turned, her hair brushed against Zachery’s strong jaw, and she instinctively stepped back. With a bang, her back and the back of her head hit the cabinet door.

“Does it hurt?” Zachery’s expression tightened.

The hand holding the teddy bear steadied her shoulder, while his other hand gently massaged the back of her head.

Josephine, a bit flustered, said, “It doesn’t hurt, it doesn’t hurt.”

Their bodies were close, and the moment was intimate.

Natalia let out a quiet giggle.

Josephine covered her mouth and coughed, then quickly slipped out from under Zachery’s arm to chat with Natalia.
