Instinctively, the two reached out to protect each other, simultaneously grabbing hold of each other’s shoulders.

Their eyes met, and both were momentarily stunned.

Josephine was the first to react. “Dr. Maynard, I have something to take care of. Let’s talk next time.”

Before Zachery could respond, he suddenly felt his hand empty.

Turning his head, he saw Josephine heading straight for the VIP Area ward…

The standard rooms at Jovitas General Hospital were single occupancy, while the VIP Area rooms were luxurious suites.

The double doors stood wide open, as if ‘welcoming‘ someone in.

Josephine walked through the living room and entered.

Helena was half–lying on the hospital bed, with Wilfred and Shane seated on either side of

her.

From the moment she entered, all three stared at her in unison, watching as she walked to the foot of the bed, as if waiting for a tribunal.

Josephine tossed her bag with a loud ‘thud‘ at Wilfred’s feet, and without a word, began unbuttoning her shirt.

Her movements were crisp and decisive, without the slightest hesitation

In the blink of an eye, Wilfred saw Josephine unfastening the buttons at her chest

His anger burned hot and uncontrollable, he rushed forward and grabbed her wrist.

Josephine felt as if her bones were about to be crushed by his grip. She struggled hard, but Wilfred only tightened his hold.

When they reached the living room, he slammed Josephine against the wall, his presence fierce and intimidating.

“Do you think you look good naked or something?”

Josephine sneered, “Not as good as Helena does naked. Didn’t you take a good look at her?”

“Josephine, I really misjudged you. Even you would stoop to such despicable means to hurt someone. Are you deliberately trying to make Lena’s life miserable?”

Josephine turned her face away coldly, expressionless. In fact, she didn’t even bother to show Wilfred the slightest hint of emotion.

Because in her eyes, Wilfred wasn’t worth it.

“All I did was take off her clothes. I didn’t try to kill her. If she doesn’t want to live, what does that have to do with me?”

“And what about Patricia? She has nothing to do with you either?”
