Josephine paused, and after a while, she asked Belinda:

“Do you remember what you said a couple of days ago?”

“Belinda, don’t treat others like toys you can beckon over when you need them and kick away when you don’t. If you want me to come back and take care of you, you should first let me forgive what you did before.”

Belinda immediately became impatient: “There you go lecturing again. Forget it, don’t come back, Josephine.”

Belinda hung up the phone, still looking annoyed.

She looked at Wilfred: “Dad, did Mom figure out that I was faking being sick?”

Wilfred didn’t say a word.

In the past, no matter how busy Josephine was, if she heard that Belinda was sick, she would drop everything to take care of her personally.

She would even stay up all night, keeping watch by the bedside without leaving for a

moment.
