Chapter89
The heat in Zachery’s body finally subsided a little, but with Josephine clinging to him, he had no choice but to endure the cold water’s constant assault.
After a long, long time, the atmosphere finally quieted down.
Meanwhile, at the music restaurant.
After being kicked down by Josephine, Wilfred lay there for a long time before getting up.
He had inhaled too much incense and was on the verge of losing his mind.
He picked up a glass of red wine, staggered to the incense burner, and poured it in.
The flame went out, but the fire in his body could not be extinguished.
He thought of Helena.
Helena had said she liked him and would surely be willing to help him.
But when he called Helena, Josephine’s image appeared in his mind again.
Josephine disliked Helena the most; he couldn’t go to Helena……
Wilfred threw his phone aside and, in pain, went to the restroom, splashing cold water on his face again and again.
Declan Merritt, the friend who had given him the incense, came to the music restaurant to
check on the results.
When he heard from the first–floor waiters that Mrs. Hayden had been carried away by a man and Mr. Hayden was still upstairs, Declan rushed to the second floor.
He saw Wilfred with his head plunged into a basin of cold water,
He couldn’t help but feel sorry: “Fred, why put yourself through this?”
“Come on, I’ll find you a clean way to let off some steam.”
“No need, just take me home,” Wilfred insisted.

Back home, Wilfred ignored Helena, who came to greet him, and went straight to his bedroom to take a cold shower.
Declan saw all this and grew increasingly anxious.
Years ago, he had been set up and gotten into trouble. Even his father didn’t help him, but Wilfred pulled strings and spent money to keep him safe.
Wilfred was his best brother for life–how could he just stand by and watch his friend suffer?!
So he told Helena the whole story and even asked if Helena could repay Wilfred with her body.
Helena was more than willing.
But she didn’t agree right away.
It was only after Declan’s repeated persuasion that she nodded, torn and hesitant.
She changed into a shirt identical to Josephine’s, carried a glass of honey water, and knocked on the door.
“Fred, Fred, can you hear me? I’ve left the honey water at your door.”
Wilfred had taken a cold shower, which cleared his head a bit, but his mouth was still parched.
His gaze was unfocused, tinged with a dreamy quality.
He stumbled over and opened the door.
The first thing he saw was a pair of slender, straight legs, a shirt worn as a nightdress… and seemingly a pair of misty, peach–blossom eyes, half–squinting in a smile, looking especially beautiful in the flickering light.
“Honey? Is that you? Have you come back?”
The desire he had just managed to suppress surged up again, fermenting and multiplying uncontrollably.
Wilfred cupped Helena’s face in his hands and leaned in.
With a forceful passion that had been restrained for so long, he led her into the bedroom.

The honey water fell onto the carpet, leaving messy, wet footprints.
Helena didn’t have time to lock the door before Wilfred pressed her down onto the bed.

Josephine’s eyes flew open.
What she saw was a hotel in European style.
Beside her ear was the sound of steady, even breathing.
The scent was faint, with no trace of tobacco–it wasn’t Wilfred’s scent.
She slowly turned her head.
