Chapter 34
Aria’s POV
His answer, obviously, was yes.
Half an hour later, I reached my orgasm right there on that windowsill.
My legs were still shaking from the aftershocks as he slowly pulled his long finger out of me. That necklace he gave me sparkled on my bare chest like the
ocean.
I could barely stand. He had to carry me into the bathroom. So yeah, my dessert date with Mrs. Jones was definitely rescheduled.
That night, we slept together again. It was starting to become a habit.
As I curled up in his arms, drifting off, I was actually horrified that I might get addicted to this.
I don’t know if my scent helped him sleep better, but there was one thing I knew for sure-
Whenever I fell asleep beside him, I’d dream of that giant black wolf playing with my little wolf in the woods. And it made me feel so, so safe.
When I woke up the next morning, he was already gone from bed. There’s no surprise to that because the man wakes up at ungodly hours. While the rest of us are still brushing our teeth, he’s probably already closed a business deal and signed off on a merger.
I yawned my way through my morning routine and headed back to my room to get dressed.
When I came downstairs to wait for the driver, I found Grayson still at the dining table.
He gave my stunned face a quick glance and then checked his watch.
“It’s 8:50. You know you’re going to be late at this hour.”
“No way that’s when I always go to work… Hold on a second. Why are you still home? I thought you were already at the office.”
“I’m driving you today,” he said like it was the most normal thing in the world. “Now let’s go.”
And by “driving me,” he meant literally.
He was behind the wheel. And I sat in the passenger seat, utterly speechless.
“Why so shocked?” he asked as we pulled out of the garage.
“No, I mean–is this even real? Did the Alpha of Red Stone Pack just become my personal chauffeur?”
His eyes stayed on the road, but the corner of his lips lifted into a faint smile. “We live under the same roof. We work in the same place. It’s the most efficient way to go. Plus it’s greener this way.”
Wow. Grayson Hart talking about energy conservation. What’s next?
“But what about your driver?”
“I gave him the morning off, I prefer spending the commute alone with you.”
I had to bite my lip to keep from giggling stupidly.
The car stopped at a red light. I took the chance and reached over and laced my fingers through his.
“Aria, that’s not safe,” he warned.

I pretended I didn’t hear him and turned my head away to look out the window.
He didn’t pull his hand away. We ended up holding hands the whole way.
When we were close enough to the Apex building, I spotted some coworkers getting off the subway,
“Hey, pull over here!” I said hastily.
He frowned but listened. “Why?”
“I appreciate the ride, but we can’t be seen together,” I said, grabbing my bag and flashing him a playful grin. “This was fun. But I’ll see you later, Alpha Grayson.”
1 reached for the door.
nit.
He immediately leaned over and slapped a hand on i
“So that’s it? You are going to use and ditch me?” His eyes narrowed dangerously.
My heart skipped. “Is there a problem?”
“Definitely. You’re about to find out what happens when you treat your Alpha like a freaking Uber driver.”
He leaned in for a kiss. But I dodged swiftly.
After sneaking a quick kiss on his lips, I jumped off the car as quickly as I could.
“See you tonight at home!”
I shouted over my shoulder before slamming the door and running off.
There was no way he’d chase me down the street, no matter how mad he was. God messing with the Alpha was so fun! Just imagining his face made me grin like an idiot the entire way into the Apex lobby.
Apparently, word of me landing the Zane deal had already spread.
When I stepped onto the marketing floor, everyone turned to look at me.
Then came the thunderous applause.
I froze in place, blushing. I had never seen something like this before.
“Ahh Aria! Finally!”
Gary marched over with his face red from excitement. He clapped a big hand on my shoulder, and announced to the entire floor:
“Now this is what a top sales rep should look like! One month in and she’s already landed our most difficult client. Let’s give her another round of applause!”
The applause got louder. Some people were even shouting my name.
My face had become tomato red.
“Thanks, Gary. I couldn’t have done it without your help.”
“Nah I didn’t do anything. It’s all you. And here’s something else you need to know: the company’s hosting a big shareholder showcase. Your new project’s front and center. Better get ready for it now because you’ll be pitching to all the shareholders!”
What!

Chapter 34
My heart nearly exploded. It’s just one big news after another.
1 barely managed to squeak out another thank you before Gary walked off grinning.
And that high carried me all morning.

People kept coming by my desk, trying to figure out how I did it. I kept telling them I just got lucky, but no one believed me. They were convinced I had some magic trick.
3 girls stuck with me during lunch hour. They were still digging for answers.
“I swear.”
I told them for the millionth time.
“I didn’t do anything special. Mr. Elrod practically handed me that contract himself. It’s pure fuck.”
“Well, Mr. Elrod must really like you then,” one girl said, slightly jealous. “I heard another sales rep once tried to wash his car and even drank the rinse water to try and entertain him. And guess what? Still didn’t get the deal.”
I gagged.
Seriously. Zane’s kinks were next–level. Being held at gunpoint was probably the least weird part of it.
We had reached the elevator. There we ran into a group of marketing folks–including Brielle. My former coworker on Jace’s team.
Brielle spotted me and almost instantly her face turned bitter.
“…Look at her. She’s so miserable right now,” a girl giggled behind me. “I heard her team leader Jace tried to land the same deal but failed. He bragged to everyone how he was Zane’s best buddy. But now you’ve got the contract and he’s got nothing! Now he’s too embarrassed to even show up.”
I ignored Brielle and tried to walk past her.
But she stepped in my way.
“You have no shame!” she shrieked.
“Excuse me but I don’t have time for your dramas,” I said icily.
“You slept your way into that deal again, didn’t you? I know it that’s how you do everything! But don’t get cocky though. When people find out how you really got that contract-”
“They’ll see that everything was clean and legit,” I snapped.” see how well it worked out for him.”
“Seriously. Still trying to take me down with these lies? Jace tried that too. Now you could
Almost everyone present laughed. Brielle’s face turned crimson.
“You know nobody in this company will ever take you seriously! Once a whore, always a whore. You’re just a pathetic little joke-”
Before she could finish with that mean cursing, a deep voice cut her off.
“What’s going on?”
I spun around.
Grayson was standing a few steps away with his team of assistants. He was frowning at us.
There was a commotion. Everyone bowed and greeted him in a panic. And Brielle looked like she was going to faint.
