Chapter 79

Third Person POV

A line of black cars sped through the streets of Red Stone Pack just as the sun broke over the horizon.

Their tires screeching as they pulled up in front of the largest hospital.

The door to the lead car swung open, and Grayson jumped out, holding an unconscious woman in his arms.

His face was stone–cold, terrifying.

The president of the hospital and a team of nurses were already waiting at the entrance. They rushed over immediately.

“Alpha Grayson, the OR is ready. We can begin the surgery anytime,” the president said quickly.

The nurses reached out to take the woman from him, but he ignored them and stormed through the hospital doors with long strides.

A crowd of people followed. Nurses, doctors, bodyguards. They all carried the same grave expressions.

At the operating room doors, Grayson finally laid the woman down on a gurney. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to her cold forehead.

“Save her. No matter what it takes.”

He said to the doctor, his voice hoarse and threatening. “If anything happens to her, I’ll bury this entire hospital with her.”

The director flinched. “O–of course, Alpha Grayson. We’ll do our very best.”

The doors shut behind the gurney.

The “Surgery In Progress” light flicked on.

Grayson sank into a chair directly across from the OR, elbows on his knees, his eyes fixed on the doors like nothing else in the world

mattered.

From the end of the hallway, Delilah stumbled over. Her face was streaked with tears, her hair was a mess, and her clothes were torn nearly to

shreds.

“H–how is she?” she choked out, voice trembling. “Did the doctors say anything?”

Grayson said nothing.

He kept his eyes locked on the door.

Delilah moved to touch his arm. But she hesitated, probably afraid. Then dropped her hands and covered her face, sobbing.

“I’m sorry… You were right. You were all right…Jace…H–He really is a monster. I–I never should’ve listened to him…”

“She never should’ve saved you,” Grayson sald suddenly.

She froze.

Then he finally turned to look at her. His eyes gleamed with ice. “And I wish you were the one bleeding out on that table.”

Delilah crumpled to the floor, muffling her cries behind her hands.

Chapter 79

Just then, rapid footsteps echoed down the hallway. The former Alpha and Luna showed up, rushing toward them.

“Delilah! Oh my God, sweetie, are you alright?” the former Luna cried, running forward to pull her daughter into her arms.

Delilah broke into tears again, clinging to her mother.

“And what did you just say to your sister?” the old Alpha snapped at Grayson. “You wish your own sister were in the OP? That’s your blood for fuck’s sake. How could you say something like that?”

The former Luna examined her daughter, worried. “And look at you! Your skin’s scraped, your clothes are all ruined! God where are the nurses? Grayson, how could you let your pregnant sister get hurt like this? What the hell happened?”

Grayson didn’t look at them. Didn’t answer.

He acted like they weren’t even there.

The OR door suddenly opened. A doctor stepped out, his uniform covered in blood.

Grayson stood up instantly. “How is she?”

The doctor’s face was tense. “Ms. Collins‘ condition is… not looking good. She has lost a lot of blood, and we’re struggling to stop the bleeding.”

Grayson’s expression darkened instantly. “Then give her a transfusion. And how hard is stopping blood loss anyway? Are you saying even that is beyond your capability?!”

The doctor flinched at the pressure. He opened his mouth to explain, but the former Luna suddenly cut in with a shrill demand:

“Doctor! Get over here and check my daughter’s wounds! She’s Red Stone Pack’s heiress. Her condition should be your top priority!”

“Mom,” Delilah whispered. “Aria’s still in surgery. She’s in more critical condition…”

“So what?” her mother snapped. “Just look at those scratches on your perfect skin. You’re in serious condition too!”

She turned on the doctor. “I’m ordering you and your staff to treat my daughter right now-!”

“GUARDS!” Grayson suddenly roared.

Immediately, soldiers stationed in the hallway all drew their guns and aimed them at the former Alpha and Luna.

“What the–are you all insane?!” the old Alpha shouted. “How dare you point your weapons at your former Alpha and his family?!”

“Sorry, sir,” Nora said coldly, raising her own gun. “We only take orders from the CURRENT Alpha.”

Grayson ignored his parents‘ fury and turned back to the doctor.

“You were saying?” he asked hoarsely.

The doctor swallowed hard. “Miss Collins‘ physiology is… unusual. Her blood type is extremely rare. We don’t have a match in our supply. The only option is to find a direct relative to donate. But even with a blood match, her body is struggling to clot. I’m sorry. We may not be

able to save her…”

A deadly silence blanketed the hall.

Delilah slammed her hand over her mouth and choked on a sob.

Grayson stared at the doctor, his eyes went pitch black.

“So you’re telling me I just have to sit here and watch her bleed out, and you worthless bastards can’t do a damn thing?!”

The doctor almost fell to his knees. “N–no, I mean… we could try reaching out to specialized packs… like the healers from White River

Pack…”

“Then why are you still standing here?” Grayson snapped. “List everyone you think can save her. I’ll make the calls now.”
