Daniel’s pov

Rex – “She got beaten for every single little thing, five minutes to late for her curfew because she had to work overtime, because she had not cleaned up their mess properly or fast enough, sometime just because Victor and Margarethe was having a bad day. She have been beaten, cut, shot you name it and I’m sure she have experienced it. She have been starved for long periods at the time and only given a little to eat. All her money she earned from her job seems to go to food for those assholes and drugs for them.” Rex continued to explain.

And I just feel so bad for the life my poor sister have been living, while we all have been living the good life in a safe home with loving parents.

Rex “When we got here yesterday, Kai and his team had already gotten Angelina out of the house and Victor and Margarethe is being held in a warehouse here. Her body look like a color chart of black, blue, purple, red, yellow and green. She have a big handprint bruise on her neck where Victor have been choking her repeatedly. When we were on the phone yesterday before we took off for California, Angelina had accidentally called Axel and we heard a lot of the beating, where she being thrown in the wall, beer bottle being smashed on her head. After we hung up and started our travel, Kai and his team still had her on the phone and they heard an ongoing rape.” He explained

“She have many hairline fractures around her body, especially her skull, she need to take it easy for a good while, she also have a severe concussion. Three cuts on her head that is most likely cause by beer bottles getting smacked on her head, she have a lot of scars around her body. She have words like ‘slut‘, ‘whore‘, ‘bitch‘ and ‘mistake‘ carved unto her, She have five broken ribs, her left shoulder have been dislocated at least two times as we know of, and her right knee have been dislocated. It have also been internal injuries due to rape, and according to Doctor Phil this have gone over years so it also match what she have said that he started to rape her early. She have also had some miscarriage, Phil have made sure she is not currently pregnant.” he finished with so much pain in his voice after telling us how badly our sister have been living for years.

Rex – “I have Doctor Phil here with me, and he will tell us what we need to take in consideration living with a survivor of abuse and some of the trauma she may carry.” I could hear Rex was exhausted when he leaned back to let Phil have the word.

Phil – “Okay let’s start with the easy stuff, with all the injuries our princess is having she need to take it easy, no rash movement and she shouldn’t be carrying anything heavy. Make sure her head don’t get a hit, because to be honest it look like a puzzle piece that is waiting to fall apart. Due to starvation she will not be able to eat a lot, and if she forces herself to eat more then her stomach can’t handle it, it will come right back up. It is important that you all make her eat but do not force a lot of food on her. Axel how much food was she able to eat this morning?” I heard Phil asked someone in the room on their end.

Axel.“Three tablespoon of vanilla yoghurt, two cut up pieces of banana, one piece of an apple, one piece of strawberry.” He answered.

Phil – “And that is my guess all she have eaten the whole day, so you hear guys, she can’t eat a lot of food, and if she say she is full, no forcing her! Also due to her starvation and malnutrition she have lost her

period, and have stopped growing, this will pick back up when she is getting better and more healthier.” He said sternly, so we understand the importance of this.

Lukas – “I’m sorry to interrupt Doctor but why have her period and growth stopped?” he asked concerned.-

Phil – “That is because of starvation and stress, the constant abuse and lack of nutrition” he answered.

Phil Since Angelina have been living in conditions where she is hypervigilant her body is constantly on guard, so she can flinch at any sudden movement, loud noises, screaming, yelling, any negative words where she can feel unwanted. I highly advise any of you to never say any of the words that is carved into her body, especially not towards her. She is going from a home that she have not felt an ounce of love her whole life to a life filled with love from all of you, that will take some getting used to. So don’t be discouraged if she don’t feel safe right away! She will highly likely be very self conscious about her body. As of now she is more or less just skin and bones, and her skin don’t look good with all the marks on it so she would want to hide that. It is important that you all will show her love and that you all accept her just the way she is.” Phil said in his professional doctor voice.

Phil “Take good time to get to know her, care for her, and in no way and I mean NO WAY show that she is a burden, a bother or nuisance. That can result to some very devastating things like self resentment and self harm. Last night when I took her measurements she is about 155 cm tall and her weight is 35 kg!” he informed us.

Mom – “Oh my god” my mom broke down right next to me and I took her into my arms trying to sooth her.

Rex “Okay now you all understand the severely of her situation, so it is important that we take great care of her. We will meet Derick at the police station in a few hours to pick her up, we had her hear it from him that she have been kidnapped and having him open her mind to come home to us. She is worried she will be a burden and bother, that our life would be better without her, she believe Victor and Margarethe died in a fire, but we have kept them alive to get some much needed frustration out on. So all of you make sure she have a nice room to come home to!” Rex ordered us.

Mateo “What is her favorite color?” he asked, I guess he want us to decorate it in that so she can feel

more at peace.

Kai – “It is royal blue, crystal blue and sky blue” One of them answered the question.

Rex – “Okay guys, you got your answer, now get to work, we will talk more when we get home.” then he hung up.
