One sentence brought Felicity back to her senses.
She immediately called Xander. "Xander, Julian just attacked someone. Can you please call an ambulance right away?"
Half an hour later, the ambulance arrived.
Xander showed up too, along with Julian's friends, Claud and Mayo.
It was the first time Claud and Mayo had seen Winona again since that night outside the bar on Laurel Hill Road, when they, together with Xander, Mackenzie, and Hattie, had cornered her.
This time, Winona was shielding Yves Prescott with her whole body.
She kept whispering through trembling lips, "Yves, are you okay? Yves, please, don't pass out. Can you hear me? Yves Prescott…"
Tears streamed down her face.
She clung to Yves, sobbing uncontrollably, her arms never letting go.
The sight left Claud and Mayo painfully awkward.
There she was—a married woman—crying her heart out in another man's arms, right in front of her own husband.
Julian must have the patience of a saint not to lash out again after seeing this with his own eyes.
But with Yves Prescott barely conscious, no one dared say a word.
A strange sense of satisfaction simmered under the surface as they hefted Yves onto a stretcher and into the ambulance, heading to the private hospital Xander had arranged.
As Yves was rushed into the ER, Xander made sure someone tended to Julian's surface wounds.
Claud, Mayo, and Felicity all personally helped Julian get cleaned up.
Outside the emergency room, only Winona sat waiting—Wesley and Zachary by her side.
"Nona, why were they fighting?" Zachary asked, baffled.
Winona shook her head.
