"You want to know why I'm here?" Winona let out a short, incredulous laugh at Julian's question.

Frank glanced at Winona, his tone gentle. "And this is…?"

"Just a… troublesome woman," Felicity replied breezily, barely glancing at Winona. "Mr. Frank, let me walk you out. I'll leave Julian to handle this situation."

With that, Felicity guided Frank out of the front lobby and into the elevator, the doors sliding shut as they descended.

Winona took half a minute to calm herself before speaking to Julian again. "Julian, you're a busy CEO, I get it. Maybe you forgot, but let me remind you! Two weeks ago, outside the Riverside Club—at the parking lot—you told me yourself: come to your office in two weeks!"

The memory flickered across Julian's mind.

Two weeks ago, he'd been leaving the Riverside Club when she had cornered him in the parking lot. He'd been on the phone, negotiating a deal, and had told her to meet him two weeks later at The Nicholson Group.

Did she really believe he'd actually wanted her to come find him at work?

She would twist any excuse to suit herself.

Julian couldn't even be bothered to explain. Instead, he pulled out his phone and dialed the front desk. "Security? There's a woman outside the guest lounge—esc*rt her out immediately. If she refuses to leave, call the police."

He'd already been more than patient with her.

He'd never once spoken harshly to her.

After all, she was Tiana's biological mother.

A woman with such ulterior motives. Always mistaking her petty tricks for cleverness, trying them again and again in front of him, as if he hadn't seen through them all long ago.

"What did you say?" Winona stared at him, stunned.

She hadn't misheard. He'd called security to throw her out. If she resisted, he'd have her taken straight to the police.

Julian didn't even look back at her, striding toward his office as if she was invisible.

"Julian!" Winona cried out, her voice raw with anguish.

For a moment, Julian froze.
