Chapter 252
“I’m sony.”
Aydan said.
Lucille had been in a daze all day, but she snapped back to reality and understood what Aydan meant, quickly saying, “Why would you say that?
Grandma and I have already caused you so much trouble, and I haven’t even had a chance to thank you.”
Aydan just gave a bitter smile; Grandma had to be okay!
Robert patted Aydan’s shoulder. “We’re very grateful to you and your family, really. Thank you for taking care of Lucille this past month.”
Aydan’s eyes turned red, but he said nothing.
Was he supposed to say now that he felt guilty for not taking good care of her?
Wouldn’t that just mean they’d have to comfort him?
“We’ll find Grandma together!”
Aydan had already called his dad directly, and his dad was getting ready to pull out all the stops for the search.
“Yeah!
Grandma will definitely be okay. You get some rest. Bye.”
After saying goodbye to Aydan, Edwin took Robert and Lucille to the booked hotel.
They had booked two presidential suites on the top floor of a top hotel in Seaston, but Lucille was in such a daze that she followed Robert out of the elevator and right into his room.
Robert turned to see Lucille, head down and watching her feet, almost walk right into him; he shook his head helplessly and said to Edwin, “Bring my sister’s luggage over here too.”
With Lucille in this state, he wasn’t comfortable letting her stay in a room alone; he checked the suite’s layout–okay, he could sleep on the couch.

Hearing about the luggage, Lucille seemed to snap out of her trance. “Our luggage, is it here?”
Lucille only remembered rushing the moment the plane landed, not even waiting for the luggage -losing luggage was nothing when Grandma was missing, a fact that felt like it had ripped her heart out!
“Yes.”
Robert said, “Edwin brought it back for us.‘
Lucille looked back and forced a smile. “Thank
you, Edwin.”
Edwin bowed. “Of course, Mr. Cruz, Lucille. You two get some rest. I’ll be leaving now.”
How could Lucille possibly rest?
Sitting on the sofa, her mind was consumed with where Grandma could have gone.
“Lucille.”
Robert crouched down, saw the patchy tear stains at the corners of her eyes, and wiped at them with his hand–they were already dry and pale. “Go take a shower and get some energy back?
I’ll figure out a way to find Grandma.”
Lucille looked up at him, her expression blank.
“Go on, take a shower.”
He ruffled her hair.
Lucille nodded.
She took her clothes from the suitcase, checked her phone again before heading into the bathroom -no messages…
Seeing her head to the shower looking dejected, Robert went into another room to make a phone
call.
“Edwin, it’s me.”
He looked down at the street outside the window, “I have a few things that need to be taken care of…”
The call lasted about five minutes. When he finished and returned to the living room, Lucille’s phone was ringing on the sofa.

He glanced at the caller ID: Cedrick?
He might as well answer it, then?
