The Paper Wife’s Empire novel Chapter 112

“Oh my God, that look in his eyes is terrifying! Does he even look like a five-year-old?”

“Isn’t this the child Jotham adopted? If you ask me, he should just send the kid away… He’s bound to cause big trouble when he grows up! He might even drag the whole family down with him!”

Normally, hardly anyone bothered to reply in the family group chat, no matter what news came up. But this video was like a stone shattering the surface of a still lake. Everyone was stunned.

One harsh comment after another felt like lashes across Jotham’s face, each one stinging more than the last. His fingers shook as he tried to type out an explanation, but no words came to mind.

While he stood there in a daze, Ramona had already coolly started the car and sped off, leaving him behind.

Turns out, after his argument with Ramona, Milo had felt wronged and called Brianna.

Brianna, furious and protective of her son, rushed over. When she heard what happened, she was livid.

Jotham’s assistant, who knew about Brianna’s relationship with him, was sent away on an errand by Brianna with a flimsy excuse. Then, wanting to help Milo blow off steam, she handed him a metal rod and told him to take it out on Ramona’s car.

She’d checked—there were no cameras in the garage, and Milo was only five; even if he did something reckless, what could Ramona really do? Especially with Jotham around.

But Brianna never imagined Ramona would actually call the police.

After hearing the whole story, for the first time, Jotham felt the urge to divorce Brianna. The Brianna he once knew was educated, considerate, never this reckless or thoughtless...
