I drifted awake to find myself in the arms of Lycannar. For a brief moment, I didn’t move. We were in his hallway, and he was fast asleep, as he had been the other day.

I could feel the ache from my thighs and the gentle bruise on my neck that wasn’t healing. The exact spot where he had choked me.

Slowly, I looked up at his face. He looked so much at peace, and he was fast asleep. I sighed and then lowered my gaze. He was always fierce when making love to me. It was as though he feared I’d push him away. My fingers found their way to the bruise, feeling the sting, and I sighed again.

We need to talk about our sex life and how he will deal with his intensity. I looked back at his face, and my eyes fell on the rings in his left eyebrow. Curiously, I reached for it and trailed down his eyebrow to his pointed nose. I was smiling to myself when my eyes caught the sight of sweat beads on his forehead.

A frown creased my face as I placed my palm on his forehead only to get the shock. He was… he was burning up.

“Lycan?” I called softly, but he didn’t respond. His eyes were closed, and he looked so dead if it weren’t for the heaving of his chest.

I sat up, placing my palm on his chest, nudging him as I called again.

“Lycannar?”

Slowly, he fluttered his eyelids open but didn’t move or speak. He only stared at me as though wondering where he was.

“Lycan, you’re burning up,” I said softly, but in response, his eyes moved away from my face and down to my neck. A small frown etched his features when he saw the bruise. Then I felt him move away from the floor.

In silence, he walked into the bath chamber without any words. For a while, I sat alone in the håll, wondering what was wrong with him. Then I followed behind, standing at the entrance to watch him in the pool, his back to me.

I walked toward him and gently entered the water, staying my way far from him to take my bath in silence. My back was also to him as I scrubbed my arm. Then I felt him from behind.

“I’m sorry I hurt you,” he muttered quietly. I ignored him, continuing to take my bath, and then I felt his touch. His hands gently gripped my waist as he turned me toward him. His eyes were filled with apology, and I could tell he was also struggling to be normal.

“I’m sorry I choked you. I just… I just lose myself whenever I make love to you. Whenever I kiss you.”

Silence fell after his words. I didn’t respond right away. Instead, I stared at him, then moved closer, my palm resting on his chest.

“I’m not leaving you, Lycan. Is that not what you are worried about?”

His

eyes stared back at me for a brief moment before he looked away.

“I am a weird man who is forever exiled to this tower. You have many reasons to leave me.”

“So you’d let me?” I asked, earning a sharp stare from him.

“Trust me. Zephyrine…” he muttered lazily as he lowered his gaze. “You will die before I let you another man’s woman.”

My heart plummeted at those words from him. He made it sound so simple, but staring at him, I knew so well he meant every word.

I was lost. We both were, and we didn’t overhear the sound of footsteps until the bath chamber door opened.

“Baby brother, will you… oh!” Princess Serena was saying but immediately saw us and looked away to clear her throat. “Uh… I didn’t know Zephyrine was still around. Dinner is ready. Zephyrine, love, will you be staying over for dinner?”

I made an effort to reply immediately but couldn’t. Lycannar wouldn’t stop sucking on my pussy, and I realized my hold on him had turned vicious.

Due to the intense pleasure, my wolf had emerged a bit. My fingers had shifted to claws and were drawing blood from Lycannar’s shoulder.

“Y…yes.” I finally answered. Princess Serena left, while Lycan brought me down into the pool, sliding right

into me.

Hard, he thrust into me. With my back against the pool wall, my legs around his waist, our lower bodies buried in the water, Lycannar claimed me.

His thrusts were gentle and tender until they gradually grew intense. His hold on me tightened, and I punched him to stop.

“Lycan… please…”

He paid attention, searching my eyes, then continued, swallowing hard. This time, he thrust gently and leaned in to kiss me, making me swallow every moan he made me elicit.
