The Sleeper's Wrath and His Wife's Strike novel Chapter 105

Yves’ fist clenched tightly on his thigh, knuckles cracking as the veins bulged beneath his skin like angry ropes. A cold and lethal energy seemed to radiate from his entire body.

He yanked out his phone and dialed Cheryl’s number. His voice, when he spoke, was laced with fury. “Clean up the mess you made. Now.”

Without waiting for a reply, he hung up.

The black Bentley sped down the wide boulevard, the air inside the car heavy and stifling.

Lindsay sat with her arms crossed, staring blankly out the window as memories from her past life and her present tangled together, replaying like an old film stuck on repeat.

Every flashback was a relentless reminder—what had happened before was all too real.

As she replayed every moment, piecing together the past and the present, it suddenly struck her: Had she walked right into someone’s trap?

“Had a fight with Yves?” Lester’s voice broke through her thoughts, snapping her back to reality.

She shot him a sideways glance. “A bit nosy, aren’t you?”

She hadn’t answered directly, but her tone was enough.

Lester let out a cold laugh. “Let me guess—Cheryl again?”

No sooner had he spoken than Lindsay’s phone rang. Cheryl’s name flashed on the screen.

Lester caught a glimpse of the caller ID and couldn’t resist poking the fire. “You’re no match for Cheryl. She’s a master manipulator. Keep getting involved with her, and you’ll be the one who ends up hurt.”
