The Sleeper's Wrath and His Wife's Strike novel Chapter 106

The money must have come from Yves. And if it was Yves’ money, then it was as good as his now.

Once the contract was signed, he’d reclaim Pine Residences.

Funny—Naomi had wanted him to buy Pine Residences before, and now it was falling right into his lap.

Half an hour later, Lester pulled up to Pine Residences and dropped Lindsay off at the entrance. “Lindsay, call me if you need anything, okay? Don’t try to handle it all alone.”

Lindsay just smiled, saying nothing, and headed quickly into the building.

When she reached the sixteenth floor, Lindsay was startled to see Cheryl waiting right outside her apartment door.

What on earth was she doing here? More importantly, how did she even know where Lindsay was living?

She’d bought this place only a week ago and hadn’t told a soul.

Cheryl spotted her, waved cheerfully, and strode over, grabbing Lindsay’s hand with warm enthusiasm. “I knew you’d end up at Pine Residences.”

Of course—they’d fought, and Pine Residences was always Lindsay’s safe haven.

“How did you know I’d be here?” Lindsay asked, suspicion clouding her face.

Cheryl made a show of counting on her fingers, half-joking, “Calculated it with my psychic powers.”

Lindsay wasn’t amused. “That’s not funny, and I don’t believe it for a second.” Her tone was flat, her expression serious.

Cheryl giggled, dropping the act. “Okay, okay. I’m kidding. I tracked your location. That’s how I knew you were here.”
