The Sleeper's Wrath and His Wife's Strike novel Chapter 150

The next day, at Bloom.

Naomi was in high spirits. Her design had just been finalized, and it looked absolutely stunning.

Feeling celebratory, she treated the whole office to afternoon tea—Lindsay included. But Lindsay didn’t touch the pastries; she simply ordered a cup of coffee for herself.

She planned to sip her coffee and enjoy the show.

After all, Cheryl’s legal team was already on their way to Bloom, ready for battle.

"Lindsay, why aren’t you eating? Is my finalized design so beautiful you’ve lost your appetite?" Naomi sauntered over, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

The remark made Lindsay chuckle, shaking her head. "If that’s what you want to believe, then sure, go ahead."

"You’re just too jealous to eat, admit it." Naomi planted both hands on the table and leaned in close, smirking. "I told you before—this time, I’m going to crush you. People like you belong in the gutter, working the streets."

"You’ve always had that streetwise flair," Lindsay replied lightly. "Don’t worry, I won’t compete with you for it."

"Save your snark. No matter what you say, the outcome will be the same."

Lindsay couldn’t help but laugh. "If that’s my fate, then what about yours? Living the high life as a socialite, or just another spoiled heiress?"

Naomi might have had a second chance at life, but she hadn’t gained any wisdom. She was just as reckless and shortsighted as before.

Her choice to buy a design draft had already set her on track to repeat her past mistakes.

"Whatever happens, I, Naomi, will always be better off than you," Naomi declared proudly.

"Let’s hope you’re just as confident in a little while," Lindsay replied, her tone almost teasing.

"What’s that supposed to mean?" Naomi frowned, confused.
