Andrew thought time could fix everything. Once Tracy let out all her anger, he’d bring her back to the Jackman Villa. Then maybe Miranda, too. They could start over.
In his mind, their family could be warm and loving again, just like before.
The thought calmed him. His anger faded, and when he looked at Tracy, his eyes softened. For a moment, it was like none of Erin’s lies or all those years of betrayal had ever happened.
Andrew spoke gently, “Tracy, I didn’t just come to apologize for the past. I also want to ask you something.”
He’d already seen the videos of Tracy confronting Daphne outside the company. He’d managed to bury most of them online, but of course, he’d watched. He’d also heard the things Tracy said.
He’d done some digging, and he knew now that Tracy had suffered a lot while living at the Jackman Villa because of Erin. That guilt weighed heavily on him.
But he still didn’t understand one thing–Tracy saying, “Fight over scraps of food. Get beaten every day. Want to die but still force yourself to keep going.”
Back at Angelic Etiquette Academy, the school had strict rules and no contact with the outside world. Sure. But to Andrew, that was still just a tough boarding school. How could it have been the hell Tracy described?
He kept telling himself she was exaggerating, but the words kept echoing in his head.
So he came to ask her himself. Maybe if he understood what she meant, he’d know how much anger she still carried–and how long it would take before they could really be a family again.
When Tracy realized why he came, her expression turned strange.
“You’re curious about that? Why?”
Andrew’s voice was sincere. “I just want to care about you.”
“Care about me?” Tracy let out a sharp laugh, as if he’d just told her the funniest joke.
“I’ve been out of Angelic Etiquette Academy for over a year. And you only just now wanna care?”
Andrew’s face tightened with guilt.

“I’m sorry… it was Erin. If she hadn’t twisted us with her lies, we never would’ve ignored you. We never would’ve hurt you so badly.
“Tracy, I promise–it won’t happen again. Just give us one chance to make it up to you.”
His words were heavy with sincerity, almost like he wanted to swear an oath to the sky.
But sincerity alone couldn’t erase the past.
Tracy didn’t even look at him. “You’re so curious about my time at Angelic Etiquette Academy? Go ask Norris.
“And when you learn the truth, I hope it doesn’t scare you to death.”
Before, she’d never have revealed a single thing about Angelic Etiquette Academy. But now? She wanted the whole world to know its filth.
As for Andrew, Tracy almost wished he could spend two years there himself. Only then would he have the right to ask if she could forgive.
Because of the Jackmans‘ constant harassment, Ronald had already assigned two bodyguards to protect Tracy. The moment she gave the order, they stepped in and “escorted” Andrew out.
A lot of employees saw it. Andrew, who always prided himself on dignity, turned red with shame. He didn’t dare barge back in, so he left with clenched fists and a stormy face.
Still, her words nagged at him. Go ask Norris. She’d said it with meaning. A meaning that made him uneasy.
So instead of going home, Andrew drove straight to the jail where Norris was being held.
But when he got there, he learned the shocking truth–Norris had gone insane.
