The Varkas Brothers And Their Princess novel Chapter 15

Chapter 15

AXEL

Her reactions were… fascinating. And they were driving me crazy. I hadn’t meant to do any of those things when I started talking, but as I spoke and saw her reaction, there was nothing more I wanted to do than to thrust into her and feel how warm and tight she was.

She was fucking driving me crazy.

I have never wanted any woman the way I wanted this one. And she wasn’t making it easy, she wasn’t giving in so quickly. That was making it even more desirable.

“It’s… That’s…” she stammered, her cheeks red, looking down at my collar, unable to meet my eyes. It was fascinating how her expressions and everything about her changed when she was flattered or backed against the corner.

“It’s too early for this, Axel,” she said halfheartedly.

I placed my finger on her chin and raised her head to look at me. “It’s never too early to get freaky, sweetheart.”

I kissed her—fuck, I couldn’t help it–slowly, feeling the softness of her lips, chasing that taste that was just… Rosette. She kissed me back, gasping softly into my mouth, deepening the kiss.

I had wanted to take the kiss slowly, but she wanted hard and deep, and who was I to deny her? I grabbed her hair, tilting her head slightly and deepening the kiss, thrusting my tongue into her mouth and finding hers. Our tongues engaged in a dance, twisting and curling with each other, chasing each other like lovers, learning each other’s language.

In my life–in all my twenty–five years of living–I have never kissed or been kissed like this before. Never,

You could call me a man whore–I fucked as I please, whoever I like—and still, this is the first time I’ve ever engaged in this kind of kissing. It took my breath away.

We finally broke the kiss to breathe, and I’ve never hated needing to breathe more than I did at this moment. Rosette rested her head on my shoulder, breathing heavily, and for some reason, that made my chest tight.

“What’d you say, princess?” I asked softly, stroking her hair, my voice hoarse. “Wanna get freaky?”

She stayed silent for a while, then finally she shook her head. “I want to… go somewhere.”

“Where? Tell me. I’ll take you anywhere.” And by God, how I meant those words.

Addiction. Oddession. Addiction.

Those were dangerous things for a man like me to feel, because when I feel things, I feel them to an excess. I overdid them. That’s why I never do relationships. Because women tend to exploit that weakness I have.

“I don’t know,” Rosette answered softly. “I don’t really go out much.”

I nodded, then kissed her hair before I pulled away, but both of us paused, my eyes going wide while Rosette just looked shocked.

I kissed her hair… Why did I do that?

This was… This thing between us was just lust. Nothing less. Nothing more. I cleared my throat and looked forward, gripping the steering wheel.

“Seat belt on,” I said, trying to keep my voice natural.

Nothing else. Nothing more.

***

I drove us to a diner first, since neither of us had eaten before leaving the house. We ordered, and ate in tense, awkward silence, me trying to sort the fucked up emotions in my head, while Rosette was… Well, Rosette was just being Rosette.

I had to sit with my legs spread wide since I had really long legs and the space was too small. And that was how my leg accidentally brushed against Rosette and we both tensed, Rosette freezing with a fry halfway to her mouth.

Fuck sake, this was so awkward. I wanted to choke if it meant this tensed air vanishing.

“Why are we being awkward right now?” Rosette asked, looking genuinely confused.

I just scoffed, rubbing the back of my neck. “Just finish your food.”

After the worst breakfast of my life, we finally left the diner and then I took her to an escape room. Turns out, Rosette would be dead in a breath if she were stuck in a real escape room. After that, it was the movies.

“My secret spot.”

She gave me a look as we kept walking. “Your secret spot is a whole beach?”

I nodded. “Uh–huh.”

She looked back at the beach. “How come it’s empty?”

“I bought it.”

She scoffed. “Of course you did.”

We stopped walking at the edge of the beach, our feet buried in the sand, the waves pushing water our way. We were just on time before the sun set.

It was beautiful. Breathtaking, and the reason why I bought this place.

The setting sun turned the ocean orange, giving it an otherworldly glow. As the sun continued to set, it looked like an egg yolk sitting at the edge of the ocean.

“It’s beautiful,” Rosette whispered, her eyes wide with awe.

I turned to look at her, and my heart kicked against my chest. Her hair was free and blowing freely in the wind, the light of the sun hitting it, and her hair seemed to glow.

The sight and the woman before me didn’t seem real. It looked like some delusion my fucked up kind made to help me live.

“How’d-” Rosette turned to face me but when she saw me watching her, the words died in her throat. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

I couldn’t answer and just stared at her. Then my feet were moving, my hands reaching. I grabbed her waist, my lips slamming on hers.
