The Veil Of Sinner novel Chapter 13

“This is the most beautiful part of this place,” Eizlina heard Prisila telling her, whose dark brown eyes were busy scanning her surroundings which looked ethereal and almost dreamy.

It was like a huge garden. Dozens of big and tall trees were planted all over that place. The land was completely occupied by beautiful, dark green grass. Different kinds of flowers were scattered all over the garden. There was a swing, which was attached to a tree. Not only this, it also had a swimming pool.

The entire place looked unreal. It seemed so beautiful that for a brief moment Eizlina couldn't believe that a place like this could exist here, because now she had completely understood how cruel the owners of this place were, so how could they build something so beautiful, innocuous and calm?

Probably just to hide their inhumanity from the eyes of this world by wearing the facade of their extreme wealth. But how came she had never heard about them ever in her life before if they owned such wealth and property like this?

Their entire country might be aware of them, so how did she remain unaware of them until now?

“See, these flowers are so beautiful. They are my favourite here,” Prisila uttered, trying to lighten up Eizlina's mood a bit because she could clearly see how distressed and disturbed Eizlina was looking, so she attempted to call her mind a little.

Eizlina looked at her and saw her pointing towards a bunch of flowers. She didn't know their names. They looked unique and extremely beguiling. She had never seen them before, but their beauty couldn't keep the attention of her eyes for long because her gaze automatically trailed towards a flower, which had fallen from its plant on the ground. It was looking extremely dry and on the verge of dying.

Eizlina walked towards that flower. Bending down, she collected that dried up flower in her hand and silently gazed down at it.

It looked like someone had even stepped on it. Its petals were looking destroyed, but not on its own. But because of a human's carelessness.

It was really looking lifeless, just like her emotions which were dying inside her, and she didn't even know what to do to keep them alive in her.

She was turning lifeless internally, just like this flower. And it would not be long enough before she might lose herself physically too if he would continue to harm her like this.

Her eyes glossed up by staring at that flower which somehow made her feel her own self in it.

Prisila walked towards her, and found her looking down at that shrivelled flower instead of those beautifully blooming flowers in front of her.

Her eyes chose to see the worst of inevitable end instead of the beauty of a fading beginning.

“I think, the gardener…..” Prisila stopped herself from further speaking when she noticed a tear falling from Eizlina's eyes and dropping on that dying flower.

Prisila took her eyes up and saw those tears rolling down from her eyes. She felt extremely bad for Eizlina. Yes, she knew that the poor girl was in pain. What girl would ever become happy to marry a man like Theron Elzaek, who was more ruthlessly brutal than a devil himself?

He was a deadly sinner in a human's disguise.

“He said he w…will….” Eizlina couldn't complete her words as her throat started paining because of her tears. But Prisila guessed everything.

Prisila's eyes watered more, especially when she saw Eizlina taking her head down. Just her mere presence told how much painful all of this was for Eizlina.

It could be horrifying for any person, realising someone was going to harm your everything so cruelly and she could do nothing to stop it.

Eizlina was silently shedding her tears while gazing at that flower in her hand, but then she felt Prisila placing her palm over her shoulder.

“I will help you in escaping from here,” Prisila's words made Eizlina slowly take her head upward again. She saw those tears shimmering in Prisila's eyes for her pain and helplessness.

Someone here finally understood her fears and vulnerability, and that person was Prisila.

“I will help you in running away from Mr. Elzaek tonight,”

Hearing Prisila, a hope for freedom finally flickered inside Eizlina's heart…but only if she knew how badly this hope for freedom was going to wreck her tonight.
