The Veil Of Sinner novel Chapter 29

“You will be back to your work,” Eizlina spoke out.

Prisila's eyes continued to widen, hearing her because she had no idea of how Eizlina was going to give her job back to her.

“Come with me,” Eizlina said to Prisila, who got confused, but Eizlina just dragged Prisila with her to her room.

“Take these, and use them for now,” taking out her wedding jewellery from the drawer, Eizlina handed them to Prisila. It stunned Prisila. The jewellery looked extremely expensive.

“But….”

“Just take it. I don't have any money with me. I just have them here with me, so take these and use them for your mother's checkup and everything till I will be trying to get you your job back here,” her words widened Prisila's eyes more. She was still planning on giving her job back to her? Even after knowing Winona had fired her herself? And Winona was not a type of person, whom they should be taking lightly.

That woman, Winona, was ruthless.

“But, Eizlina….how will you do it? It might cause you harm,” Prisila uttered to her openly, because both the women knew Theron Elzaek and his mother were extremely cruel. They both knew nothing about mercy, even towards those people who cared for them or worked for them.

Eizlina exhaled a heavy breath after hearing her. Yes, both mother and her son were fatal and brutal, but now Eizlina had started understanding those things about Winona's son, which this world had still not succeeded in finding.

That he had been controlled by his mother in each and every possible way. And he himself might not be aware of this still.

Eizlina held Prisila's hand and placed her wedding jewellery on it.

“Leave everything on me. I will try my best,” she said.

“Besides I have nothing much to lose here any way,” Eizlina told her honestly because she believed she had gotten married to a kind of man, who was keeping her alive just to fulfil his own sick and immoral intentions.

Her life meant nothing to him, so whether she would be alive or not….it didn't matter to him. It had never even mattered to anyone in the very first place.

Her life had always been a disappointment for everyone, and now that life was getting used too….by no one but that only person, who was supposed to make her feel loved not used.

“Look after your family. I will try with everything to get you back your job,” Eizlina assured Prisila, while squeezing her hand gently.

She knew what she needed to do to give Prisila her job back, and now she just needed to wait for him to return back from his work.

In the evening, Eizlina was pacing here and there in her room. Since Prisila had left this afternoon, she could not calm herself down. She was desperately waiting for that one person, whom she had never thought she would need so restlessly.

Eizlina looked towards the clock and it was already seven in the evening. Prisila had told her before leaving that he came back from his work mostly after seven, so he might be back soon.

Finally she heard the loud honk of a car. Eizlina stormed towards the window and saw a car halting in front of the manor, and then she saw him stepping out of the car.

He was finally back. Eizlina clenched her fists, because just by looking at his face, she had started feeling terrified. She didn't know how she was going to talk to him regarding this, but she needed to.

Eizlina stepped inside the room. A cold gust of air hitted her, causing her covered body to shiver. This room just felt like its owner. Cold, dark and emotionless.

She roamed her eyes everywhere in search of him, and just like she had expected, she found him right inside this room, who was sitting on a sofa with his arm and legs spread wide.

Eizlina's throat dried up when she noticed he was shirtless and she saw him holding that glass of wine in his hand. That dark look was evident on his face. His eyes were not on her but she knew he was aware of her presence.

Just by noticing how lethally calm he was looking, Eizlina felt like running away from there, but this was not the solution of that situation in any way, so breathing out softly, she took a couple of steps in his direction.

Her feet paused, after maintaining a safe distance between their bodies. She watched him continuously taking sips from his glass of wine, but he was not looking at her. She knew he was doing it intentionally, and his ignorance angered as well as hurt her.

Why was he not looking at her? She was here to talk to him. He knew about this.

When he didn't say anything or look at her, Eizlina decided to break the silence on her own.

“I want to talk to you about Pris……”

“A single word from your mouth in defence of Prisila…. her dead body will be right in front of you,” he didn't even let her complete her words, and his words enlarged her eyes in horror. Her eyes immediately moistened.

Did he kill Prisila?
