Though he was admittedly a bit full of himself.
"But he's wheelchair-bound now. Marrying him, you might end up taking care of him for life." Despite his reservations about Drusilla, the thought of her marrying someone with such a disability made him somewhat reluctant. After all, she was his flesh and blood.
If it weren't for that scandal she was involved in, he wouldn't be so distant towards her.
Seeing an opportunity, Hestia chimed in eagerly, "The Taylors are such a well-off family! Drusilla, already divorced once, would be lucky to marry into their family in her second marriage."
According to Hestia, Drusilla really didn't have the luxury to be picky!
Drusilla shot her a look, "Why don't you marry into their family, Hestia?"
At that, Hestia was so infuriated she could have pointed at Drusilla's nose and cursed her out, "Drusilla, what on earth are you saying? Are you wishing for me to divorce your father?"
"Just making sure you know."
"Leander, look at her..." Hestia, pointing at Drusilla, was nearly fuming with anger. But in her husband's presence, she didn't want to come off as too domineering and instead opted for a pitiful act and wiped away some tears, "I must really owe you the Lawsons, to worry so much about your family matters, only to be made out as the villain."
Drusilla couldn't be bothered to engage further, so she stood up to leave. "Dad, I'm going now. I'll come back to see you later."
With that, she left the hospital room.
Outside the hospital, she was about to hail a cab when she noticed Oberon waiting for her.
She was on her way to see Enoch anyway, so they went together.
In the car, Oberon was busy texting on his phone from the passenger seat.
Drusilla broke the silence, "Oberon."
He looked up, "Dr. Lawson, what can I do for you?"
