Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 169

"What's so important that it outranks his kids?" Blythe grumbled, a headache brewing from frustration.

It was like there was no getting through to Enoch! His own children, and Enoch couldn't seem to care less.

Perched on the edge of the couch, Lilith asked, "Is Aunt Drusilla here too?"

Oberon nodded. "Yeah."

Lilith continued, "Didn't Uncle Enoch head out early this morning to catch up with Verena? How could he not be worried about his kids? With Drusilla around, she's probably the reason he hasn't come down!"

Cormac, sitting quietly to the side, perked up at the mention of Drusilla. Mom? But...

He couldn't help but feel annoyed at Lilith's tone, clearly not speaking highly of his mother.

Lilith, fork in hand, offered a piece of cantaloupe to Cormac. "Here, Cormac, have some..."

"No thanks." Cormac slid off the sofa, grabbing his backpack. "I'm going to find my mom."

Hearing this, Colton stood up as well.

Blythe looked at the two little ones, saying, "Didn't we agree to wait here for your mom? She's still at work and hasn't come back yet. There's nobody home right now. How about staying over tonight? Don't you like it here? You even said, 'Grandma, your house is so big,' when you first got here."

Blythe found him so endearing, especially that he didn’t realize that everything the Taylor family owned would one day belong to him.

But no sooner had they settled in for some snacks than the little guy wanted to leave. It was breaking Blythe's heart!

"I want my mom," Cormac declared. The place might be big and nice, like a castle, but without his mom, he just couldn't feel at ease.

Lilith tried to comfort him, "Sweetie, finish your snack, and we'll go see your mom."

"I want her now!" Cormac dodged Lilith, refusing to let her touch him.
