Before long, Will showed up with a tow truck. The tow truck hitched Finnian's car and hauled it away, while Will drove both of them to the club.
Just then, Amara's phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen and quickly answered, "Ely? Where are you now?"
"I'm home," came Elysia's weary voice. "Are you out somewhere?"
Hearing that Elysia was home, Amara felt a wave of relief wash over her. "Yeah, I'm out. Are you at your own place?"
"Yes, Dorian's here too. You should come over."
Elysia seemed too exhausted to talk more; after those few words, she hung up.
The car was silent, and Finnian had heard Elysia’s voice through the call. He turned to Will, "Turn around, we're heading to Dorian's place."
In no time, they pulled up at Dorian's house. The butler and a couple of staff were busy cleaning the living room, which was mostly tidied up, including the removal of a bloodstain. Elysia and Dorian sat on separate couches, ignoring each other completely.
Elysia was massaging her temples, eyes closed, looking utterly worn out. Dorian, on the other hand, appeared grim, furiously tapping away on his phone.
As soon as Amara and Finnian walked in, both Elysia and Dorian looked up. Amara rushed over to Elysia, taking her hand. "Ely, what happened? Whose blood was that?"
Elysia didn’t have a single scratch on her, so it wasn't hers. Sure enough, Elysia let out a sarcastic laugh. "That would be Jessica Bishop’s."
Amara blinked in surprise. "What on earth happened?"
Jessica tried to leave, feigning weakness, but Elysia lunged at her, and they ended up grappling. In the scuffle, Jessica accidentally struck something, splitting her head open and bleeding profusely.
At that moment, Dorian truly lost it. He grabbed Elysia by the collar, his eyes wild with fury.
Though he didn't hit her, he looked dangerously close to it. Elysia was beyond furious, beyond disappointed. She slapped Dorian twice across the face and ran out.
After Elysia finished her story, Amara was seething, wishing she could glare daggers at Dorian.
Dorian, too, listened to Elysia’s account, his face stormy. "You didn't even bother to find out what was going on before you hit Jessica. Don't you think you were in the wrong?"
