The next morning, Amara was leisurely tidying up her apartment, getting ready to head to the film set.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed like crazy. Notifications poured in from all directions. With a growing sense of dread, Amara opened the app to see what all the fuss was about.
Just a few minutes ago, a trending topic had erupted on Twitter, simply titled "Amarise."
The moment she saw it, her gut twisted with a sense of foreboding. Clicking on the link, she found a pinned post by a user named "Emma." The post was a scathing rant about her so-called "screenwriter ex-daughter-in-law" who had supposedly refused to let go even after the divorce.
Emma claimed she'd come home to find her former daughter-in-law lingering at her ex-husband's family home, allegedly disrespectful and causing such distress that she had to resort to calming pills.
The Twitter post painted the "ex-daughter-in-law" as a shameless woman clinging to her ex, and it made Amara's blood boil. Emma was a verified user, leaving no doubt that it was indeed her.
Amara, Finnian, and Liliana's saga had already been a hot topic online for quite some time. Finnian, as the CEO of the Everly Group, was always in the spotlight, and Liliana was a top actress. With such prominent figures involved, the drama had spread far and wide, fueling the public's curiosity about the trio's entanglements.
Now, with Emma's post, people were quick to join the fray, leaving nasty comments under the tweet: "Seriously? Divorce means you stay away. How shameless can you get to hang around after a divorce?"
"Shouldn't you cut ties completely after a divorce? And Amarise, wasn't she rumored to have had some botched cosmetic surgery? She's hideous, she should stay far away to avoid sickening others. She's got no shame!"
While she didn't care about Emma's money, she was concerned about Elysia and Keith's expenses. Once she explained, they agreed, and the topic remained stuck at the top of the list.
Despite losing some time, Amara arrived at the set on schedule.
As she stepped onto the set, she could feel the eyes on her, hear the whispers as people gossiped, clearly aware of the drama trending online.
It was unsettling, but Amara kept reminding herself that this would all get sorted out eventually. Repeating her mantra not to get angry, she headed towards the break room, determined to keep her cool.
