Emma was holding Liliana's hand, treating her like family, and Liliana's genuine, warm smile showed they were having a great time chatting.
"Finn, you're here!" Emma exclaimed.
Most of the time, Emma was quite fond of her son, and seeing him approach, she stood up to greet him warmly. "Come over here. I came to check on Liliana and brought her some supplements."
"You really should have told me sooner that Liliana was expecting. I would've flown back from abroad to take care of her." Emma continued.
"Oh, Mrs. Everly, there's no need to fuss over me. The baby is still small, and I'm young and capable of looking after myself," Liliana quickly replied.
Emma waved her hand dismissively. "It's precisely because you're young that you might not know everything. That's why I'm here to help. The baby is, what, two months along now?"
Liliana nodded, and Emma said, "Perfect, while the baby is still small, let's get the wedding organized. If we wait until your belly's bigger, it won't look as nice in the wedding dress. Plus, it wouldn't reflect well on the Everly family to have a big belly at the wedding."
Liliana smiled, not showing any of the typical shyness of a bride-to-be. She spoke with grace, "Mrs. Everly, I know you mean well. I'm easygoing about these things, really. Whatever Finn thinks is fine."
"Nonsense," Emma said firmly. "You're the one who's pregnant and getting married. Your opinion matters just as much."
Liliana smiled again, but Finnian stood there, his expression cold and silent.
Seeing her son not saying a word, Emma nudged his arm playfully and chided, "Aren't you going to say anything? This is your business, you know. Pay attention."
