Finnian pulled his hand back, his morning voice husky and just a tad seductive. “Sorry about that, I have this habit of hugging something in my sleep. Guess I might’ve pulled you in.”
Amara let out a relieved sigh. As long as it wasn't intentional, she thought, and headed off to freshen up.
Halfway through brushing her teeth, a thought struck her. It wasn’t like she hadn’t shared a bed with Finnian before. They’d always woken up just fine, no awkwardness. When did he pick up this habit of hugging things in his sleep? Was it just her luck that he never hugged her before, or was he just pulling her leg? She pondered over it for a while, deciding it was best to avoid sharing a bed with Finnian from now on. With a sigh, she continued her morning routine.
Mr. Kevin Everly had just been dropped off at home by Finnian when Lisa approached him, her voice lowered conspiratorially. “So, how did things go last night?”
She was clearly asking about any progress between Amara and Finnian. Mr. Kevin Everly chuckled, covering his mouth. “That rascal snuck into Ama’s room last night, thinking I was fast asleep. Truth is, I had a bit of insomnia and didn’t sleep a wink. He’s quite smitten with her, you know.”
Lisa laughed along. “Don’t worry, sir. They’ll patch things up eventually.”
Liliana was having a rough few days, constantly needing updates on Hogan’s health. Her frequent inquiries made people wonder if she was setting her sights on Hogan instead.
One day, while she was in the lounge applying makeup, there was a knock on the door. “Come in,” she called out, turning to see Emma walking in. She quickly dismissed the makeup artist and greeted Emma with a smile.
