Her fingers grazed the edge of a gown, cool and soft under her touch.
She bit her lip, unsure what to feel.
Was he really planning all this for her?
Or were these dresses for someone else, someone he once loved?
Had he been rejected too? Is that why he agreed to marry?
Kaia and Lucien chose to begin their shoot with the blue wedding gown.
As the mist–like fabric cascaded over her figure, the
mermaid–style skirt shimmered under the light, each movement catching a glint of magic. The fitted waist hugged her silhouette flawlessly, accentuating her curves with effortless
grace.
“Wow, it fits like a dream!” the makeup artist gasped.
“Since you never tried it on before, we thought we might have to adjust the size on the spot. But Mr. Graves clearly knows you well. You look absolutely stunning, Mrs. Graves.”
Kaia glanced at herself in the mirror, momentarily speechless at how perfectly the gown fit.

The artist added with a smile, “You probably don’t know this, but this particular dress took the longest to make. The skirt alone is inlaid with ten thousand real diamonds—each one
hand–set!”
Kaia’s eyes widened. No wonder it sparkled like something out of a dream.
Once her hair and makeup were done, she stepped out of the fitting room.
Lucien, waiting in a sharp white suit, looked up–and froze.
Kaia nervously smoothed down the fabric at her waist. “Do I… look alright?”
Lucien’s Adam’s apple moved as he swallowed. His voice came low and rough, “You’re breathtaking.”
To him, she looked like a mermaid who had emerged from the sea and stepped into the sunlight.
The photographer quickly directed them toward the rocky shoreline, where the sea stretched endlessly behind them.
“Mr. Graves, Mrs. Graves–perfect! Sit right there, just on the edge. Look into each other’s eyes. Yes, just like that!”
Kaia felt a bit awkward at first. Being this close to Lucien in front of a camera crew made her cheeks warm.

Lucien, however, was completely at ease. He leaned in, letting their foreheads almost touch, their noses brushing gently.
Click.
The shutter snapped at just the right moment.
“Beautiful! Let’s do a few more from different angles,” the photographer said enthusiastically.
After a short while, he turned the camera around. “Mrs. Graves, would you like to take a look?”
Kaia nodded, stepping over to him.
In the frame, they were bathed in golden light. Her diamond–studded gown sparkled like ocean mist, her expression soft and luminous. Beside her, Lucien’s gaze held a rare tenderness.
She smiled. “These are beautiful. Thank you. You did an amazing job.”
Lucien took her hand and brought it to his lips, placing a light kiss on her fingers. “No–it’s you who’s amazing. With a face like that, even the camera’s falling in love.”
The photographer, still adjusting his lens, rolled his eyes with a quiet sigh.

They spent the entire day shooting, from sunrise to sunset.
By sheer luck, they witnessed a rare natural wonder–the glowing blue sand phenomenon in the sea.

They walked barefoot through the water, one after the other, while the photographer frantically snapped photos, desperate not to miss a single magical moment.
After the final shot, Lucien wrapped an arm around her.
“How about staying on the island tonight? The ocean–view rooms have floor–to–ceiling windows–you can fall asleep with the sea right outside. It’s stunning. And don’t worry, I own this place. No one will bother us.”
Kaia hesitated.
As much as she was tempted, reality pulled her back–tomorrow was Monday.
“I can’t. I have work tomorrow,” she said. “You can stay if you want, but I’ve got to go back.”
Lucien sighed inwardly.
She really knew how to kill the mood.
“Alright,” he said with a half–smile. “Let’s go back, then.”

Kaia was so drained she dozed off the moment they boarded the private jet.
When they landed, Lucien carried her off the plane, holding her gently.
She’s really got no stamina.
I wonder how she’ll manage on our wedding night.

“Hey, guess what? The producers changed their mind–they’re letting me back on the show!”
Kayla’s voice was bubbling with excitement.
Kaia lit up. “Seriously? That’s awesome! I’m so happy for you.”
She paused, then lowered her voice playfully.
“Okay, I’ve got a little secret for you–the show’s being filmed at our law firm. If you’re lucky, you might even spot my mentor in the observation room.”
Kayla gasped. “Wait, Kaia–you do know the show’s gonna be live–streamed this time, right?”
Kaia froze. “…It is?”

“Yup. Starts next week. If your mentor shows up on camera, chances are you’re gonna be in the shot too!”
Sure enough, just after Kaia hung up the phone, Alex called a firm–wide meeting.
“As I’m sure you’ve all heard,” he began, “this season of Beckoning Offer: Lawyers Edition will be filmed right here at our law firm. And here’s the twist–it’s going to be live–streamed.“–
A few people straightened up in their seats.
“So, in the next few days, make sure the common areas are spotless. No loose documents, no client files, not even a sticky note with a smiley face. This is a live broadcast, people. Triple–check everything. I’m not kidding.”
He scanned the room and continued.
“Attorney Halston, Lambert, Wayne, and Carter—you’re our mentoring lawyers this season. Be nice to the newbies. I hear some of them have impressive family trees.”
A few chuckles rippled through the room.
“And of course, for drama’s sake, we need a couple of ‘strict teacher‘ types. Mr. Halston, care to volunteer?”

Jude rolled his eyes. “So now we’re actors, too?”
Alex didn’t miss a beat. “Save that sarcasm for the cameras. Viewers love a sharp tongue.”
Jude had no comeback for that.

Alex turned to the next. “Mr. Lambert, let’s have you play the warm and fuzzy mentor.”
Jude smirked to himself.
Perfect. The guy’s been fake–smiling his whole career.
Meanwhile, Kaia was fading fast. She’d stayed up too late, and Alex’s voice had turned into a droning lullaby.
“Ms. Domont!”
Kaia snapped upright, blinking rapidly.
What does any of this have to do with me?
