The veins on his forehead bulged as he tried to think. Because he had pulled his rush without fastening the belt, the sudden movement made them slip down, showing half his bare butt.

He hadn’t even put on underwear.

“Ah! Ah! Timothy! How could you do this to me? You b*stard, I’ll tear you apart!”

As Timothy scrambled to pull his pants back up, Melanie pushed past Perseus and the others, shoving him hard before grabbing Mikita’s hair.

Mikita crossed her arms over her chest and squeezed her legs together, screaming as she tried to cover herself. Melanie yanked out a lock of her hair and scratched her face and neck. Crying, Mikita tried to hide behind Timothy.

“Timothy, help me, it hurts!”

By then, plenty of people upstairs had stopped worrying about escaping.

The smoke had mostly cleared. Everyone started crowding around to watch, pulling out their phones to record.

Timothy had just managed to pull his pants back up, but his shirt was still open, showing his greasy skin covered in hickeys. He pulled Mikita into his arms and angrily shoved Melanie

away.

“Enough! If you’re going to lose it, at least pick the right place!”

Melanie stumbled back from the push, tripped, and slammed her head against the wall. With a loud thud, she went down and didn’t get up right away.

Perseus rushed to help Melanie, while Christopher pointed at Timothy in anger.

Timothy had never been this humiliated. The stares from all around, along with camera flashes going off in his face, made it worse. He covered his face, embarrassed and furious, and yelled.

“My business isn’t yours to control! Don’t make it worse! Get your mom out of here!”

Christopher finally looked around and quickly covered his own face, then turned back to check on Melanie.

When Perseus helped her up, she leaned against him, pale and gasping. A big bump had already formed on her forehead, with a little blood seeping out.

“Mom, let’s go,” Perseus said as he tried to lead her away.

The truth was clear. Timothy had been fooling around with Mikita, and there was no point denying it.

Even though both Perseus and Christopher were angry, as men, they could still understand him. Their parents were already old, and their mom had health problems. She had been a full- time housewife for years.

Their dad messing around outside wasn’t exactly shocking.

Compared to ending up on the news and embarrassing the whole family, the White brothers would rather just leave quickly.

But Melanie felt dizzy, her head pounding. The betrayal from her husband already hurt enough, but now her own sons seemed to be siding with him too.

It felt like someone rubbed salt into an open wound.

Hot tears rolled down her cheeks, and she couldn’t hold them back.

Just as they were about to leave, Anneliese stepped in front of them.

“I just heard someone downstairs say it was nothing serious, just the smoke setting off the fire alarm. But if Mr. White and this naked woman walk out like this, it won’t look good. And Mrs. White still needs her injury checked. I saw Mr. White come out of that room just now. Why don’t we all go over and clear things up?”

The real drama was still ahead, and Anneliese wasn’t about to let them leave.
