Why does he always get his way? Even when I agree, intimacy should unfold naturally. I should choose when and how our first time happens.
Tonight isn’t the night. I’m still upset. Now is not the time.
Anneliese sensed Jonathan’s piercing gaze. She stretched her extended leg, letting her foot graze his bare chest.
Jonathan froze at her sudden boldness, breath hitching as his hand paused mid–button.
He lowered his gaze, eyes tracking down to his chest.
Though nearly 170cm tall, her feet were delicate and dainty–size 36, with elegant arches and soft, rounded toes. Her nails were bare yet naturally flushed.
Her toes traced teasing lines down his chest.
Two buttons popped free. Her foot slid lower, brushing against his abdomen.
His eyes grew darker. He swallowed hard. Warmth spread through him, making it hard to stay in control.
Still, her foot wandered, grazing nerves that made his pulse quicken.
“Enjoying yourself?” he asked.
He finally snapped. His hands enfolded her ankle–steady and commanding, making Anneliese tremble.
“Of course. I haven’t had nearly enough fun yet…”
Flushed, she propped herself up, batting glistening eyes at the man whose tension was practically straining at its limits.
His breath grew heavier. He held her ankle firmly. Suddenly, he bent down.
He pressed a fiery kiss to her sensitive instep.
“Stop teasing me, baby. I surrender,” he murmured.
He pressed a kiss to her and lifted his gaze.

She tensed, then kicked him hard in the stomach, rolling off the bed in one swift motion.
“I’ve got things to do–no time for games!”
She dashed across the room barefoot, not bothering with slippers, and grabbed the door handle.
Her hand clutched the doorknob, yanking hard.
Huh? Why wouldn’t it turn?
Panic jolted through her. She yanked again, harder, but the door stayed locked.
Confusion muddled her thoughts. Footsteps echoed behind her–slow, deliberate, chilling her skin.
In panic, Anneliese twisted the knob furiously, desperate to break free.
Then, a long, well–defined hand appeared right before her eyes.
The man reached out and turned a small dial beside the knob. Click, click.
So he’d locked the door from the inside all along!
“You can open it now.”
Shame and fury flared. Anneliese wrenched the door open, only for his palm to slam against it immediately, shutting it with a heavy thud.
Her eyes widened. The gap vanished before her eyes.
He is doing this on purpose!
Anneliese’s heart raced. She felt trapped, helpless, unable to keep up
with him.
