“A woman who couldn’t even keep Zacharias? What makes you think you deserve to marry Mr. Fullbuster?” Coral said, her tone sharp. “And come on, people will say Mr. Fullbuster married the woman Zacharias didn’t want. That doesn’t sound good either, does it? Look, I can go live and apologize to you publicly, say nice things about you, whatever you want. Just tell me what to do, I’ll go along with it.”
Jonathan shot Coral a cold glance, then turned his gaze toward Zacharias, a mocking smirk tugging at his lips. “Man, you really have no standards, huh? Guess you’ll swallow anything filthy and disgusting that comes your way.”
Zacharias‘ grip on his coffee cup tightened. The next second, it shattered in his hand. Shards bit into his palm, blood seeping between his fingers.
He didn’t even flinch. He just looked toward Anneliese, hoping, stupidly, that she’d care. That maybe he’d catch a flicker of worry in her
eyes.
But she didn’t even glance his way. Her attention was fixed on Coral, disbelief written all over her expression.
“How the hell did you even get into Astoria University? What do you spend your days thinking about? You sound like you crawled straight out of some ancient tomb. Zacharias cheating with you doesn’t make you special. It just makes you two perfect for each other. A trashy guy and a trashy girl. I’m the one who got cheated on, and somehow I’m supposed to be ashamed? Please. You talk like stealing someone’s husband is some kind of win. Figures you’d be that thrilled over something that gross.”
Jonathan squeezed Anneliese’s hand. “Hey, honey, don’t get mad. You know it kills me when you do.”
She looked at him, and the tension in her eyes softened. They both smiled.
Coral’s fists clenched tight when she saw that smile, the anger in her chest rising even higher.
I thought Anneliese would cave t

The two of them acted as if no one else were there. Jonathan poured her water and set her cup just right. Every little gesture was so natural that it almost looked elegant. Even doing something as simple as that, he somehow made it look refined. It only made him more magnetic.
Coral’s eyes burned red. Zacharias, on the other hand, looked like he’d lost all patience. His expression twisted in irritation. “What do you want, Coral? Just spit it out.”
She stared back at him, whatever warmth she’d once had for him completely gone. All that was left was anger and calculation. She hated him for being so cold, so cruel. But she also knew this was her last shot to get anything out of it.
“You want me to cooperate and clear things up? Fine. I don’t ask for much. Twenty million each. That’s all.”
Zacharias looked at Coral, a greedy and shameless woman, and felt a bitter laugh rise in his throat.
The moment he remembered how he’d thrown Anneliese away for Coral, something twisted in his gut.
Now, standing there while Coral blackmailed him right in front of Jonathan, he could feel his pride shatter. It was like every bit of his manhood had been crushed into the ground.
Zacharias‘ voice was cold and sharp. “Heh, Coral. What you’ve been spreading online is false information. That’s slander and defamation. Or are you trying to add extortion to the list now?”
Coral gave a small laugh. “I’ve already lost everything. My future and my health are gone… everything. Mr. Shaw, after what you did to me, don’t you think you owe me something? How is that extortion? Additionally, I simply shared my own story online. I never once mentioned your name. How does that count as defamation? If people online decide to make their own guesses, that’s not on me.”
She sat there looking like she had nothing left to lose. Zacharias‘ expression hardened. His jaw tightened so hard it looked like he might grind his teeth to dust.
“As long as you’re willing to make it right,” Coral went on. “I’ll go live right now and tell

everyone it was all on me. I was the one who forced myself into your marriage with Ms. Claude, while you stayed pure and rejected me. I’ll say I made up stories out of spite after drinking too much. That way, you and your precious Clauderias Tech won’t take any hit. In fact, with your holier–than–thou image, you might even turn this into free publicity for your company.”
Zacharias was a businessman to the core. Profit always came first. As the founder of a public company, his reputation mattered a lot more than sending her to jail ever would.
Coral picked up her phone, tapped the screen a few times, and said, “I’ve got some photos and videos here. You might wanna take a look.”
She handed him the phone. The moment Zacharias saw the explicit photos and those filthy clips, the veins in his hand bulged as his grip on the phone tightened.
So, all that admiration Coral showed me, all that sweetness and devotion -it’s all fake. She was playing me the whole time, already planning her next move.
Anneliese looked at Zacharias, and he had that screwed–up look, like something disgusting just hit him. She didn’t even need to see Coral’s phone to know what was up.
Man, what a mess. A trashy guy and a trashy girl, watching them tear each other apart is almost entertaining. Zacharias probably still thinks all those side chicks stick around because they’re so into his charm. Please. The guy’s pure delusion and ego rolled into one.
Anneliese didn’t even bother to look up. She took a sip of her coffee, sounding bored and a little pissed.
“So, are you two done? Coral, maybe you can tell me what makes you think you can walk away with twenty million from me? Please. With the crap you made up, all I’d have to do is toss our marriage certificate and divorce papers online, and every rumor you spread would collapse on its own. You think I need you to clear my reputation?”
Coral turned her gaze from Anneliese to the man beside her. “I heard you married Mr. Fullbuster. Congratulations, I guess. I mean, look at you now–Mrs. Fullbuster, loved and protected by a man way better than the last one. Shouldn’t you be thanking me for that? Why hold so much hostility toward a poor woman like me? You’re just kicking me when I’m already
down.”
Before she could even finish, Anneliese raised her hand and flung the half–full cup of water right in Coral’s face.
“Ah!” Coral shrieked and jumped to her feet, water dripping down her cheeks. She looked at Anneliese in disbelief.

Anneliese smirked. “Didn’t you say I like kicking people when they’re down? I’d hate to disappoint you by holding back.”
Coral had honestly thought that in front of Jonathan, Anneliese would at least pretend to be the graceful, forgiving type. Turns out, she couldn’t be more wrong.
She glanced toward Jonathan, hoping for even a flicker of sympathy, but her heart sank when she saw him calmly holding a tissue, gently wiping the water off Anneliese’s hand.
Coral bit down hard on her lip, forcing herself to sit back down despite the sting on her skin and the humiliation burning in her chest.
“Sure, you can post the marriage and divorce papers if you want,” she said through gritted teeth. “But once you do, everyone online will know Zacharias still fell for someone like me. You lost him to me.”

he moment I pushed her. She’s a divorced woman who finally got to call herself Mrs. Fullbuster. There is no way she would risk losing that: his favor, his spotless reputation, or the Fullbusters‘ approval. As long as she’s scared, I’ve got the upper hand. All I’m asking for is twenty million. Twenty million is barely a dent in her world now.
Anneliese didn’t even flinch. Coral pressed her nails into her palm, refusing to believe anyone could stay that calm.
Coral’s mouth twisted into a mocking smile. “Please. If that’s what you really think, you
