The two of them acted as if no one else were there. Jonathan poured her water and set her cup just right. Every little gesture was so natural that it almost looked elegant. Even doing something as simple as that, he somehow made it look refined. It only made him more magnetic.

Coral’s eyes burned red. Zacharias, on the other hand, looked like he’d lost all patience. His expression twisted in irritation. “What do you want, Coral? Just spit it out.”

She stared back at him, whatever warmth she’d once had for him completely gone. All that was left was anger and calculation. She hated him for being so cold, so cruel. But she also knew this was her last shot to get anything out of it.

“You want me to cooperate and clear things up? Fine. I don’t ask for much. Twenty million each. That’s all.”

Zacharias looked at Coral, a greedy and shameless woman, and felt a bitter laugh rise in his throat.

The moment he remembered how he’d thrown Anneliese away for Coral, something twisted in his gut.

Now, standing there while Coral blackmailed him right in front of Jonathan, he could feel his pride shatter. It was like every bit of his manhood had been crushed into the ground.

Zacharias‘ voice was cold and sharp. “Heh, Coral. What you’ve been spreading online is false information. That’s slander and defamation. Or are you trying to add extortion to the list now?”

Coral gave a small laugh. “I’ve already lost everything. My future and my health are gone… everything. Mr. Shaw, after what you did to me, don’t you think you owe me something? How is that extortion? Additionally, I simply shared my own story online. I never once mentioned your name. How does that count as defamation? If people online decide to make their own guesses, that’s not on me.”

She sat there looking like she had nothing left to lose. Zacharias‘ expression hardened. His jaw tightened so hard it looked like he might grind his teeth to dust.

Coral picked up her phone, tapped the screen a few times, and said, “I’ve got some photos and videos here. You might wanna take a look.”

She handed him the phone. The moment Zacharias saw the explicit photos and those filthy clips, the veins in his hand bulged as his grip on the phone tightened.

So, all that admiration Coral showed me, all that sweetness and devotion -it’s all fake. She was playing me the whole time, already planning her next move.

Anneliese looked at Zacharias, and he had that screwed–up look, like something disgusting just hit him. She didn’t even need to see Coral’s phone to know what was up.

Anneliese didn’t even bother to look up. She took a sip of her coffee, sounding bored and a little pissed.

“So, are you two done? Coral, maybe you can tell me what makes you think you can walk away with twenty million from me? Please. With the crap you made up, all I’d have to do is toss our marriage certificate and divorce papers online, and every rumor you spread would collapse on its own. You think I need you to clear my reputation?”

Coral turned her gaze from Anneliese to the man beside her. “I heard you married Mr. Fullbuster. Congratulations, I guess.
