After he spoke, he waved his hand; men in black spilled out from all directions.

They were clearly not the same as the security team; each one looked like a trained fighter, and even Natalie could feel the edge of their violence.

“Those your people?” Natalie asked Baron in a low voice.

Baron shook his head and replied quietly, “Dad’s spent years in business; of course he has some muscle at hand. These look like retired soldiers.”

Natalie turned to look at Waylon.

Baron had seen straight through Waylon’s hand; the older man grew a little uncomfortable.

Waylon cleared his throat. “If these scumbags won’t step aside, beat them until they do; I don’t believe I can’t go back into my own home just because of them!”

The security captain had refused to believe Waylon’s identity because Waylon had been abroad for decades; even though Waylon’s clothes and car were expensive, the captain didn’t think the real Waylon would show up.

Besides, who was Waylon to just come back and demand entry without notice? The stone residence hadn’t been told anything, so this stranger claiming to be the head of the Stone family was hard to accept.

Seeing so many men suddenly obey Waylon and feeling some intimidation from his presence, the captain’s doubts began to creep away; could this old man actually be the head of the family?

He fumbled for his phone to call inside, but Baron saw it and threw a scalpel.

Natalie shook her head as she watched the ragged group. “With that level of skill, who them the nerve to act so brazenly?”
